fyi...i started this blog post last night (friday) then fell asleep putting cooper to bed (at 10), so happy smile friday/saturday :)
We are in KC celebrating this hula dancer's 1st birthday with family and friends. Yes, this is the final stop on our Summer of Fun 2012 Tour.
Don't get me wrong, I love the heat and I love summer. But, it is so nice to be able to play outside again...well, minus that pesky west nile virus threat that is hanging over us. Coop and I have been taking nightly walks/bike rides with Lola and it has been so nice!
Adam and I went to our first Cowboys game last weekend. Our neighbors gave us their tickets since they couldn't make it. They were amazing seats, club level, midfield and came with a great parking pass. Some fabulous friends offered to watch our kids since our babysitters were busy. It was a pretty uneventful game but so fun to attend and have a night out...even if we did Chick-Fil-A for dinner :).
Tomorrow we are heading to Lawrence for the first game of the KU football season. We are pretty darn excited in our house about the Charlie Weis era! Can.not.wait to spend a few hours in one of my favorite places in the whole world, Lawrence, Kansas. Rock Chalk Jayhawk!
