Christmas Tree Shopping

We headed out to the Christmas Tree farm again this year to find our tree.  See our Christmas tree adventure here.

I told her she had to change shoes for the Christmas Tree farm-didn't think the wedges with socks were going to cut it.

Who's idea was it to give this girl a saw?
Of course Cooper brought a football .
We were all over that farm trying to find a tree-it was not easy.  It was the weekend after Thanksgiving, so the trees seemed picked over.

We searched and searched but couldn't find one for us.  We ended up getting one the precut trees they were selling.

No secret that I am not a decorator.  The tree is totally for the kids.  I put the lights and ribbons on and that's about it.  The kids do the rest.

Again, the Halloween pjs for Christmas.
I think only 3 ornaments shattered, not too bad.
Laney on the left, Piper on the right-same age, same dress.

Christmas Preparations!

The first week of December we spent getting in the holiday spirit!
Nineey arrived!  He always brings the kids an ornament.  Of course Cooper got a Royals ornament.  Laney loves to color so she got a box of crayons.  I think Nineey was stumped on Piper because she wasn't really into anything at the time so she got a 2 since it was her birthday month.
We made ornaments and painted them.

Nothing like painting Christmas ornaments in your Halloween PJs ;).
Adam is probably cringing while he is reading this...Kids painting at the counter with no covering underneath ;).  Sorry Ad-don't worry, no one made a mess!
The big kids decorated the trees in their bedrooms.
For a second year in a row we went to the luminary walk at the Arboretum.  They line the walking trail with tons of candles, have a fire to sing Christmas carols around, a hayride and SANTA!  We got to the park and realized that Laney left her coat at home...so she's wearing mine here.
Hayride!
 Piper was not digging Santa!

These 2 were all about the big guy!  Laney is wearing a 2 or 3t coat of the cousins here ;).

Our sweet middle child!

It was a fun start to the month!!!

Coterie Theatre with the big kids

Woo-Hoo, finally moved on to December...good thing since we are currently in mid May!

The first weekend in December I took the big kids (often how we refer to Cooper and Laney) down to the Coterie Theater at Crown Center.  We went and saw, A Charlie Brown Christmas and it was so so cute and fun!  The kids smiled thru the whole thing!

We had fun!  We saw the show, stopped for cupcakes and walked around Crown Center-always fun when it's fully decorated for Christmas.
At the Coterie, there is space up front to sit on the floor and then some comfy seats.  These two asked me to sit on the floor with them-I couldn't feel my butt or legs at the end but it was totally worth it ;).
This is their 2 thumbs up, lol.
A great kick off to the Christmas Countdown!!!

Thanksgiving 2015

We celebrated Adam's birthday and then hit the road to Wash, MO the next day for Thanksgiving.  I don't have as many pictures as usual.  We did lots of eating and just hanging out together.
We spent Thanksgiving at McCormacks.  I swear that Laney was just in this outfit!
We took GiGi to breakfast one morning.
They played some good tic tac toe while we waited on our food.
The KC Star featured Urban Air-this was exciting to see!
The little girls do lots of coloring, cutting, and chatting when they are together.
I am telling you, Adam has stepped up his skills set since Urban Air opened.  Add toilet installer to his resume!
A little father/son bonding while installing toilets.
 These two are so sweet!!!!!!!!
We were pretending Piper was still our tiny baby.
The Zicks had a pig roast over the weekend.

They never want to nap in Wash, MO...too much going on but it is usually needed.
This was her Sunday afternoon after we got home.  Tanya sent us home with lots of Emily's hand me downs...these shoes included.  She still wears them almost every day.
More hand me downs-she was pretty excited for new clothes!

Just another random post from last November

 This is totally me!

It will be a sad day when he outgrows this Super Hero phase.
Nothing makes Adam cringe more than playdoh in the house - it makes me laugh!
That fort in the living room?  Yeah-it was there for around 2 weeks...November was chaos and this picture sums it up well.  Olivia watched the kids one day in early December and when I got home the couch and living room was all put back together.  I was so thankful for that!
Another trip to Scheels-shopping for Adam's birthday gift.
They want to pose with everything in that store!
Happy 34th Birthday Adam!    I don't remember anything about his birthday except for that he chose Jalapenos for dinner...good thing I took pictures to remind me.
They showed that dessert who was boss!
Laney's turkey from school-she was so proud!
