Pumpkin Carving

It's that time of year again for pumpkin carving!  I can not believe how little Cooper looks carving pumpkins last year, see it here.  He was definitely into it this year, so much fun and it was a beautiful fall evening-just meant to carve pumpkins outside!!!

No fear this year to get right into the guts!
Yes, we were those neighbors carving a pumpkin on the sidewalk...not sure why we sat there instead of our porch?
 Dad's helper :)
Carving just wasn't enough, so we pulled out the paint and paintbrushes (and moved onto the porch).
Laney contently sat in her seat staring at the trees and sky.
Gotta smile!  I adore this picture!!!!!!
Ahh, just one more :)
Dad decided to start a paint war
The finished product.  2 questions:  what are my kids staring at? who has more paint, the pumpkin or Cooper?
Man, my nails look so nice...leftover manicure from the wedding.  I could get used to this!  How many years until Laney will be able to give me a manicure??

It has been a busy Halloween week around here, more to come on it later!

Shoes

I'm sure this is just the beginning...

Laney - 2 months

Laney was officially 2 months old on Monday...can't believe it!  Here's the latest and greatest at 2 months:
-at her 2 month check up, she was 11 lbs, 8 oz (70%ile) and 23 1/2 inches (88%ile).
-she continues to sleep like a baby, goes to bed around 11ish and sleeps until 7:30-8:30.  Ah-mazing!  She is usually wide awake from about 8-11 and I love it because I get some one on one time with her while everyone else in the house is sound asleep.
-she does have some reflux, minus the actual spitting up part.  You can see her throw up, gag, but then she usually swallows it back down again...yuck!
-she is smiling like crazy and we will do just about anything to get her to smile, it is so sweet!
-she's starting to coo just a little and loves watching the fans, the blinds and the candles hanging up behind our couch.
-we are still treating her thrush, I started on a medication as well, as the doctor thought we were just passing it back to one another from breastfeeding.
-she loves her swing or maybe has just learned to love it because that is where she is a lot of the time
-we do swaddle her at night since it's getting colder and she does well with it.
-she's not a fan of tummy time, usually falls asleep after a few minutes.  she always wants her head turned to the right side, so we are constantly turning her head for her, just to have her turn it back seconds later.
Overall, she is a content, happy baby and we feel so blessed to have her in our lives!!!!!

Western Day

One of the things I love about Cooper's pre-school is they have field trips that come to the school!  How fun is that!!!  Last week was Western Day!!!!  Coop does have a pair of cowboy boots that used to be his cousin Nick's but he refusing to put them on even with a lot of bribing :).  So, we settled for a flannel plaid pearl snap shirt and cowboy hat (if you can call it that, think it's from the $1 store :)).  It was a beautiful Texas morning!

Walking out to western day with Ms. Jenn, can't you see the excitement on his face?!
Watching and waiting to ride the ponies
 Coop loved the pony rides!

The petting zoo=organized chaos :).  The kids were loving the sheep and goats!  There were bunnies in the bucket Coop is looking in.
 Coopie was loving this cow!
Sweet, little Laney was an angel and slept the whole time allowing me to take pics and have so much fun with Coop!

Mr and Mrs Galbraith

I know this post is delayed, but it has taken me forever to sit down and pick which pics to share!

It was a beautiful Fall day and everything went off perfectly!  It was a crazy busy morning and reception and there were a million other pics I wanted to get, but didn't, guess they will wait until the next family wedding.  Here's my story of the day...

Laney and Gunner resting up, are they not the sweetest!!!!  Meanwhile, Dad has somehow got Coopie to nap across the street at his Great-Grandmas house...thank God!
All ready to hit the aisle!
He did it!! Cooper pulled the wagon with its precious cargo, Laney and Gunner, all the way down the aisle!! I couldn't believe it, truly shocked, he proved me wrong that's for sure!  Adam was at the end of the aisle holding a new John Deere Gator for him, he saw it all the way down the aisle and said, "gator!!!!"
This was Cooper's reaction to me all night...wanted no part.  He totally wanted to do his own thing-dance:).  He took a couple falls on the floor, see his eye?
Thanks to Maggie I have many pics of the reception, so happy she took my camera over so I could have some fun!!!

Emily and Ava-Grace were having lots of fun with Uncle Adam
Could not love this picture more!
The happy couple out on the dance floor...don't you love Rusty's #1 finger. :)
The parents and party throwers...it was another perfect family wedding.  Thanks Mom and Dad!!!

Apparently Cooper was on stage with the band?  I totally missed this somehow!

He was about out for the night
Coop hung on for 'Family Tradition.'
There was always willing hands to hold sweet little Laney.  She partied all night!

3 best friends with 3 new additions :)

Wedding Rehearsal

Dress rehearsal was good, we all learned our roles for the next day, starting to feel like a veteran bridesmaid.  That makes me sound old!  Then it was off to dinner at Timber Creek, it was delish!  After dinner, the Souders' house was still making final touches for the wedding.  My dad, the bride and I finished tying ribbons on the programs late into the night.  My mom worked in the garage on the beautiful flower centerpieces until the wee hours of the morning.  It was an early morning on Saturday, but a gorgeous one!!!

Laney and Gunner had a tough job, can't you tell?
This kid had the big job...pulling that wagon down the aisle!

How many years until we get a family pic with everyone looking and smiling?  Do you see me holding Coop's hand down so he can't suck his thumb?
My sweet Laney Faith.  Yes, her bow is bigger than her head :), a girl can only pull off that look for so long!

The bride and groom, relaxed as can be about the big day!
