I am here, just not home!

Aaahhh, I am so behind on this blog - so much as happened that I want to write about!  However, between a trip to Napa Valley and KC sports stuff - I haven't been home one night in a week!  I am home tonight but my Kansas City Royals are in game 7 of the World Series…so I will be a bit occupied again.

However, I wanted to quickly share this in case you haven't already seen it…

This sale is good today and tomorrow only.  I only share sales that I truly think are awesome and this one is that…super awesome!!!  Seriously - if you need gifts in the next couple months (or a new pair of earrings or yourself ;)), it would be irresponsible of you not to shop this sale ;).

First half of October

Some random pictures from the first half of our month…
Piper is loving playing with the big kids in the playroom now.
Her other favorite spot is finding her toys behind the couch.

No nap day = asleep before dinner on playroom floor.
She is a disaster at meal time.
They love this silly horse at my grandma's house.
They thought their new seating idea was the best.
These 2 weren't exactly thrilled to be watching the big kids on the playground at Deanna Rose.
Pippi and I took my grandma in for cataract surgery.  Piper was the life of the waiting room and I felt like a young pup in that room of senior citizens!
My grandma forgot her shades so she sported my aviators. :)
 Superhero Cousins!
She loves seeing herself on the camera!

 Still lots of Legos.
 Bedtime stories
The big kids are still doing swimming lessons, I should do a post on that!

Laney's imaginative play

As I have talked about before, Laney loves her babies.  Her day revolves around them, many mornings she grabs her diaper bag before she even comes downstairs after waking up and many nights she is putting her babies down for bed.  When Cooper is home, they are often playing family but when he's at school, she plays so well with her little imagination.

Lately she loves to take portraits of her babies.
She was having a birthday party for baby at breakfast.
She asked me to take a picture of the rest of the people at the party ;).
Piper and I often get to eat the treats she makes.
 More baby portraits.
I love this baby stage - when she gets her element, it's the best!

Pumpkin Hollow at Deanna Rose 2014

We made the same visit with one less baby last year, see that post here.  Kids have grown too much, too fast!

We met right after lunch today and it was crazy packed!  It was such a beautiful day, apparently everyone else had the same idea…including local celeb and ALCS champ, Billy Butler.  My sister spotted him and I think she was the only one.  I couldn't believe no approached him!  And I couldn't believe that Cooper wouldn't go tell him good luck or take a picture!

The kids played on the playground for a little bit before we made our way to Sleepy Hollow.

 The hayride was a hit!
Her nose ran like this all.day.long today.  She was all smiles on the hayride.

He thought these golf clubs were pretty funny.

Waiting in line for the train together, so sweet!

It was Pippi's first pumpkin patch!

 All the Souders' grandkids!
Note to self - don't wait until the last minutes of a 3 hour field trip to get family picture ;).  We were in the middle of meltdown city.

Cooper's 1st Field Trip

Cooper had his first field trip last week to the Louisburg Cider Mill, one of our favorite places!  I drove him and my mom kept the girls - no siblings allowed.  I love that rule because it meant all my attention was on him!  Our car was definitely quieter than normal ;).  The kids got a tour/explanation of how they make donuts and cider, they got to eat a donut/cider and then a hayride out the pumpkin patch.

Watching them make those delicious cider donuts - they really are the best!
He sat down and asked if I would take his picture, handsome boy!
Yes, his class is mostly girls…the story of his life.
His sweet teachers jumped in for a picture.
Yep, surrounded by girls again.  It's always fun to see how your kid interacts in a school atmosphere.    Right about this time his teachers told me he is quite popular in class…especially with the girls.
So happy I was able to go along with him!

 On top of the world!
 Legs for days.
When our hayride stopped at this slide, I was sure that I was going to be going down.  I really didn't think Cooper would do it alone.  He watched the other kids do it for about 5 minutes then down he went!
 He loved it.
We rounded up our field trip by picking pumpkins from the patch.  I hope enjoy all the field trips with my kids as much as this one!
