Team Jersey Day!

Last week the kids had team jersey day at preschool!
The typical mad rush before school...that doesn't start until 9!  Kindergarten is going to hit this kid like a brick wall, good thing he has another year of preschool.  They didn't want to go all the way outside because it was too cold, it was like 60 degrees ;).
I am sure they were the only ones in preschool representing Kansas and they did it well!
Love my mini-Jayhawks!

Fun Birthday Party at the Zoo!

We love our zoo and our friend, Kate, so it was the best of both worlds for her birthday party at the zoo!
We saw some fun animals up close!  That blond hair is Kate...I didn't get a pic of her with the kids :(.  And we are soaking up every time with that girl because they are leaving us (how dare they!?) to move to California.
Such a lady eating her cupcake!
It was a beautiful fall morning!

That smile just melts my heart!

Coop and his friend Trinity.  Here's a Alcon (adam's company) family pattern...lots of girls!  Of all the families we get together with, there are maybe 2 other boys!  Everyone has girls, Coop doesn't seem to mind one bit.
We wrapped up our morning at the zoo on the train and lunch at Potbelly, yum!

Kansas Wrap Up

Finally wrapping up our visit to Kansas, here's some random pics that I want to document but don't make up enough for a post.  Enjoy!

Funny story behind this one...Aunt Alli graciously gave them a bath (with bubbles!) this night.  After Laney got out, (Coop was still in) they found a tiny poop nugget floating amongst the bubbles!  Yuck Laney!
Boys in a backyard bounce house!
This picture is so grainy :(, Laney was always so excited to see Uncle Brock!

Cooper and Emersyn-it was rodeo day at her preschool so we were so excited to come see and have lunch.  Coop even dressed the part :)
Another new, sweet baby!  Meet Emery Ann Gibson, known in our house as Gia's little sister :).  I took Laney on a solo playdate and she was so happy!  I love times that I get one on one with each of the kids.  Laney and Gia had fun playing babies and I had fun holding that sweet, sweet, sweet baby girl!
Grandpa went to the grocery store which meant the kids had lots and lots of treats throughout the week. Of course Laney is dressed up :).
I got lots of cuddle time with little Henley!
There was some Dancing with the Stars reenacting :).
Adam had a big presentation while we were gone, so this was our good luck message that morning.
I had fun with a couple Stella & Dot shows while in town!
So at one point a few months ago, I wasn't sure what Laney would think of the baby.  After this trip, I am 100% sure she is going to be in love.  In fact, probably a bit too much in love ;).
 Toddler Selfie!
We ventured out to the Louisburg Cider Mill one morning.
I texted Adam this picture and said, "here's a future pic of what our car will look like soon!"

Sweet Landree is looking to be a thumb sucker like her older cousin, we have a soft spot for thumb sucking babies :).

That's all she wrote for our stay in Kansas!  It was our final road trip of 2013 and before we travel as a family of 5!

Halloween Bash with Cousins

The night before we left Kansas, I had a sorority sister's wedding and Grandma planned a Halloween party for all the grandkids.  The question is...who had more fun, the kids or me?

I left my camera and instructed the fam to take lots of pics and they did...I am sure each one has a story behind it but we left to go back home the next day, so I will do my best.

It was so fun to catch up with these gals and see our Baby Jayhawk get hitched!  I am the happiest because my BFF Julie is officially a Kansan again meaning I get to see her much more often now!
Grandma had mentioned putting a hayride together...not sure who made it happen but obviously these kids were excited about it!
A hayride pizza dinner and check out the carpet covered hayride...high class ride for these kids!
The oldest and youngest (for the next 8 weeks anyway ;)) grandkids.
I am not even sure where that hayride took them but I know Uncle Brock pulled thru with Smores ingredients that they roasted by fire in the backyard.
From what I heard, the flashlights were a hit :).
After the hayride was cookie decorating!
Not sure what was happening here, except they were having lots of fun with Aunt Tara and an ottoman in Grandma and Grandpa's room!

Kaleidoscope in KC

I was so excited to take the kids to Kaleidoscope-haven't been there in years, but love it!  We went there on a weekday morning so it wasn't busy, just another KC hot spot to cross off our list for the week!

 She's a very serious artist
We came home with lots of creations...that I threw away just days later, but the visit was still totally worth it and fun!!!
 They loved the music section.
Landree joined us for the trip and was a perfect angel!  And the only child that cooperated for a picture that day ;).
Just another outtake of me and my kids...kept this one because look at my hands, clearly holding both of them down ;).

Smile Fridays - week 50

It's a Fall weather edition of Smile Fridays.  I am for sure a summer girl, love hot-hot temps, pools, flip flops, and tank tops.  I guess it's a pregnancy thing, but I am loving Fall right now.  It is so nice to be outside and not sweat full time.  Our weather has been beautiful, sunny and high 70's, even low 80's...just perfect.
And I can't get enough pumpkin desserts, I've decided this is the pregnancy of pumpkin.  Made these pumpkin donut holes tonight...amazing!  I have already lost count of how many I have had ;).  The doctor keeps asking me if I am eating sensibly...sure doctor...it's my 3rd pregnancy, of course I am not eating sensibly!!!!!!!

Lots of afternoon walks with varying forms of transportation.  This day they were walking their babies.
We got a new stroller hand-me-down (thanks Jensens!) and the kids think it's like a toy.
He might have finally mastered his scooter.
Thankfully she loves being in this stroller, makes our walks much quicker.  She hasn't quite mastered the trike yet.
I traced the kids and they 'created' themselves :).  After he was finished Coop was worried his hair looked too much like a girl.
After chalk was bubbles...this was the coldest day this week, hence the jackets.
The other thing they love to do, play in my car.  Coop is often driving them to Disney World, KC or STL.
Since church last week (kids go to church childcare), Laney has been frequently hopping around like a frog.  And this day, she refused to walk down the aisle at the grocery store, so she hopped like a frog.
I forgot to add our 32 week ultrasound pic to my last pregnancy post.  Look at that sweet profile, can't wait to kiss those lips!!!
