Happy St. Patrick's Day 2015

Another year, another fun St. Patty's Day!
I made green milk and bought Lucky Charms...that's a big deal in this house because I am sugary cereal hater!  ;)  Then Grandma stopped by with donuts...so my kids had a really nutritious breakfast!
This sweet girl!  I took the big kids to Chuck E Cheese during nap so the Galbraiths kept Pippi for me.
Their main bucket list for Spring Break was to go to Chuck E. Cheese.  They were so excited and so happy!  Laney spent most of her tokens on these 2 rides.

These 2 were all over the place trying to earn as many tickets as they could to get crappy stuff they would lose in less than a day ;).

They couldn't decide what to use their tickets on...serious decisions people!

We picked up Piper and came home to play outside.
We had a St. Patrick's Day dinner at my parents house.
The kids got to icing/decorate Grandma's famous sugar cookies...yum!
 She loved her cookie!
 Our little leprechauns-so sweet!
Just one of the many outtakes.

See St. Patricks Day from 20122013 and 2014.

Spring Break - Monday at the Zoo

After a busy weekend we were up and at 'em Monday morning!  We met the Stilley girls at the zoo, along with the rest of Kansas City.  It was a beautiful day and everyone had the same idea.

I don't have many pics because I was too busy corralling kids and dodging stroller traffic.
Thank goodness Grandma Fimmen was there with an extra double stroller because Laney's legs apparently stopped working. ;)
She was so excited when she saw the warthogs..."Lola, Lola, Lola"
After a couple hours, we were done.  Pippi wanted out of the stroller and the big kids were just tired.
They found a place to rest on the way out.
 She wanted O-U-T!

A fun morning seeing some animals and hanging with good friends!  We drove thru Chick-Fil-A for lunch then came home and my kids slept for almost 3 hours!!!  I need to walk them around the zoo more often.
That night after dinner, we took the golf cart for a spin in the beautiful weather.
She gets to ride in the front seat with us.  The kids are in the backseat...and yes, they are buckled in.
This is her new dance move.  Anytime a song comes on (even in church), she puts both hands straight up and just keeps them there.

 So funny!
We picked up Cash on our golf cart ride and had a sleepover!  Adam brought Cooper's mattress in our room and they watched The Croods before crashing.

Monday was fun but the fun didn't end there-we had some Spring Break bucket list items that the kids brainstormed to tackle!

Spring Break 2015

We kicked off Spring Break with lots of fun over the weekend!  Basketball, friends, family, great weather...what else do you need!?

Also-read this article yesterday on today.com, written by Jen Haymaker.  It totally grabbed my attention (my brain often feels like mush) and is just so, so good!   Do yourself a favor and read it here.

Breakfast for lunch on the deck!  I highly promote outdoor meals when the weather cooperates for my messy children ;).
Friday morning we picked up Cash and headed out to a new park in Shawnee.  The kids had a blast!
She insisted on getting in the baby swing like her sister.
It had a bunch of these cute little houses that the kids loved running in and out of.
Gunner and Landree met us there!  These 2 are so funny together.
 Sweet Landree!
The little kids loved the twirly slide.  I took Piper down once and that's all she wanted to do, so she and I went down that slide many, many times.
The big boys were all over the place, making friends and playing tag.
Saturday morning we kept Henley for a couple hours.  It was snacktime for the girls, cheese sticks all around!
Cash was giving Coop some math lessons.  We had friends over Saturday night to watch the Big 12 Championship game and I don't have 1 picture...probably because the game was so terrible, I was busy moping. :(
During naps on Sunday, Adam cleaned out the garage (yikes, much needed!) and I worked on a couple of painting projects for Pippi's room.  I painted that red table a kelly green...don't have a pic of the final product.
I painted this mirror the same color.  We have been in this house over a year and Piper's room is finally getting some decor on the walls.  The big kids' rooms still resemble a hospital room...a bed and blank walls.  Someone come decorate their rooms for me!!!!!
Selection Sunday...one of my favorite days of the year!!!!!!!!
We spent all weekend on the patio...it's all finished!  I need to do a post on the finished product, we are so happy how it turned out and have spent lots of hours out there already.  Sunday night, Adam and I put the kids to bed and watched Bracketology outside.  A perfect ending to a pretty perfect (remember KU lost) weekend.

Back to Reality

Thanks to a delayed flight and lost luggage, we didn't get home until after midnight Sunday night.  We were so anxious to wake up and see the kids!!!
We drove thru Chick-Fil-A for lunch because Momma needed a good ol' American meal ;).  And it's official, I have to buy 3 kids meals now...and Piper usually eats more than both of the big kids!   We brought Coop home that Captain America mask and cape - he loved it!
We were welcomed home by beautiful weather so the kids and I hit up the park after naps.  This is the look of a boy watching much bigger boys play basketball and wanting to join in.  Unfortunately all he had was his mom and 2 little sisters.
This girl likes to test the limits at the park now.
She likes to get on this and have me spin her.
Sheriff Woody in the house!!  My mom got Cooper this towel for Valentine's Day when he was about this age and in the height of his Toy Story phase.
When Laney wakes up, her hair is always a tangly mess.  I suggested curlers to sleep in to minimize all those tangles.  We snuck one in Pippi's hair.

 Good night Pippi!
For the record, she woke up with about 5 left in her hair.  She took the rest out in bed before she fell asleep so the curls weren't too impressive in the am.

It was good to be home!
