4th of July!

We had a fun, fun, 4th of July!
We started off the day hanging out at home.  Grandma brought patriotic donuts for the kids!

Air guitar!  Adam found a Spotify station that played lots of our favorites from college...so we had a dance party and pulled out the air guitar.
Cooper was really happy about the patriotic pj pic ;).
We spent the afternoon at my parents eating and swimming.  Then we got to work, assembling parade flyers.
The golf cart was decorated and ready to go!

Our parade helpers.  Our kids didn't want to ride, they wanted to catch candy instead.
Two of the most uncooperative picture subjects!
I love a good parade!

After the parade, Bryson and Tara hosted everyone before fireworks.
Again, I waited way too long in the day before getting a family pic.  The girls had matching rompers and swimsuits that I bought last year and I didn't get one stinking picture of them together in them, ugh!
We took the golf cart up to the Stilwell gas station to park and watch the firework show.
She LOVED the fireworks!
It was a great show!

She was asleep minutes after we left my parents, party on sister.

Pre and Post 4th of July!

I was going to post these pics with our 4th of July pics but then I realized that was A LOT of pictures so I split it up.
A couple days before, we did some firework painting while Pippi napped.

We did one more easy craft...red, white, blue stars and paint in a baggie.
Mix it all up, you will see the finished product on the next 4th of July post.
We took the golf cart around the neighborhood.
Adam and the big kids cleaned up the golf cart so it would be ready for it's parade debut!

Sunday, post 4th of July...otherwise known as July 5th ;)
We went to church on Sunday.  We didn't plan it but Laney and I both ended up in striped dresses representing the red, white and blue!
Then Cooper realized he was in stripes too!
And so was Dad :)!
Laney didn't nap but it caught up to her watching cartoons later in the afternoon.
She rallied and we went outside to enjoy the weather.  We took the golf cart up to the baseball fields for Cooper to practice hitting.

The girls and I had a dance party, Laney took her moves to the field...safety first with the helmet!
Seriously, she cracks me uP!

Wonderscope Museum

I had bought tickets to Wonderscope (children's museum in Shawnee) off Groupon over the winter.  We finally made it at the end of June.  My kids had the BEST time!  We were there for 2 hours and if it wasn't for a hungry/cranky Piper, they would have lasted 3 hours.

She's an animal lover so she loved the farm room.
This is a crazy stat, especially when you have multiple children and you are the main one changing their diapers.  This means we have changed over 21,00 diapers!  What?!
The big kids loved the veterinarians office.  Laney worked the front desk,
and Cooper took x-rays of my dog.
Meanwhile, this little lady manned the hospital baby nursery next door.

We spent lots of time in the art room where I couldn't take my eyes off Piper.  She either had paintbrushes full of paint, markers without lids or a stapler.  This art room inspired us to create an art table in the basement for the big kids.
It is nothing special, just containers with markers, stamps, random notepads, old magazines, scissors, glue, beads, etc.  However, it has provided the big kids with hours of entertainment.  Literally hours.  They just disappear down there and don't even talk, they just craft.
One morning I found a couple of boxes and they spent a good hour or two decorating them.
They decided to eat lunch in their new homes one day.

See, it's nothing special...in fact, it's a big mess but they love it!

Family Pictures

My dad made a request for family pics last month and here we are, done and done.  We haven't done family pictures since Alli and Rusty's wedding which was almost 4 years ago!  We have added some sweet babies to our family since then.
At the risk of ruining the surprise of Christmas card pictures, here are my favorites!
We used Brooke Stephens with Fish Kiss Photo.  Bryson and Tara had used her the month prior with their kids and she had done such a great job.  We were over the moon happy with what she got.  Our crowd isn't easy, to say the least.  The best part, we got what we absolutely needed in 30 minutes and then just went for some extras.  We all highly recommend her!!!!!!!
We took pictures at my grandparents farm, it's the BEST backdrop for pictures.  The family has used the farm for wedding pictures and we did our family pictures there a few years back.
My sister gets all the credit for buying/coordinating everyone's outfits.  That is not an easy feat, I have trouble coordinating just my family of 5!  It all came together so well!

Man, I adore these 3!!!  And Laney with her leg crossed just kills me!  That along with Piper's feet in those shoes and Cooper's missing tooth spot!
The Girls!  Laney loves her job as mother hen to the 3 babies.
 The Grandkids!

 Gunner cracks me up!

The best parents a girl could ask for!
We grabbed my Grandma and made her get in a picture with her Great Grandkids.
This just makes me laugh, not sure what was happening here.
I seriously LOVE his missing tooth spot!  And his blue eyes!
He isn't as innocent as he looks ;)
 and either is she ;)
I especially love these smiling pictures we have of her before she knocked one of her teeth out last week.

Ha, she looks so chunky here!

We thought this would be cute, the kids weren't happy.  Adam is behind the hay bale holding Piper on, she was trying to dive off.
 This is my favorite!
This is where it all started :)  I have such great memories growing up with this crew...even if I did want to be an only child for most of my childhood ;)

Now to get some pics printed and in frames!
