Must be football season

Preseason is such a bore...
Yes, that is Cooper playing the role of the football in the Heisman Trophy pose. :) He and Dad have already put in quality time on the couch watching football. A glimpse into my future...

Loving His Swing

Cooper loves his swing! It magically puts him to sleep almost every time he is in it. The motor broke just the third day we had it and it just got repaired. We are thankful to have the Little Lamb swing up and running again!!!

Exhausted!!!

Cooper had a long day and it shows! Lola never misses a moment to cuddle with him. :) He had his newborn pictures taken this morning and he was awake for most of the two hours. We can't wait to see them, will post the blog where you can check them out when posted. Our photographer takes such precious newborn pictures!! To top off the day, Cooper went to the dentist with me. He was a perfect angel, slept the whole time! What a way to celebrate turning two weeks old!!!

Cooper's Very Busy First Week of Life

Texas Pride
Out shopping at Southlake Town Square to celebrate turning one week old!

Our favorite breakfast place in Fort Worth

Slept all through breakfast

Cooper's first outing was when he was just 3 days old. We came home from the hospital Friday and went to breakfast at Ol' South Pancake House with both families on Saturday morning. Cooper was oblivious to it all. One restaurant customer said, "he looks fresh off the showroom floor"...if that's what you want to call it. We were lucky to have lots of family visiting throughout the weekend to help, then my mom and sister stayed the first week. Cooper probably wouldn't have had such an adventurous first week otherwise. We also went shopping a few times throughout the week, our favorite stop was in Southlake where we found the adorable cowboy boots, couldn't resist!!!

Doctor Approved!

Cooper had his first appointment with the pediatrician. Obviously he remembered her from his circumsion because while she was checking him out, not only did he have a dirty diaper but he peed all over the table and spit up at the same time!! Cooper is in the 95%ile in height and 50%ile in weight. We knew his limbs were long! Everything else was good!

Cooper's First Bath

Cooper was pretty cooperative for his first bath. Nothing like the smell of a freshly bathed and lotioned up baby!!!

Big Sister

Lola is a very protective big sister. She has to know where Cooper is at all times, which is totally interrupting her 18 hours of sleep a day! Even if Cooper makes the slightest peep at night, Lola is peeking over the bed at him in the Pack'n'Play!

Already a KU Fan

Check out these feet that were busy kicking me in the ribs!!

Can't get enough of these long legs!!!

In only his second day of life, we began the brainwashing! We decided Cooper looks really good in crimson and blue. :)

Baby Cooper's Birth Day

Our last picture of the family of three, headed to the hospital.
Grandpa and Grandma Souders

Papaw and Mamaw Jones with the proud Dad.

Looking like I had a few margaritas with my epidural.

Here's Coopers first face shot, already missing the womb.

Cooper William made his arrival on Wednesday, August 12. We got to the hospital for induction at 9:30. It was a slow progress until early evening. He made his entrance into the world at 7:07pm. Adam and I were not surprised at all when our doctor said, "It's A Boy!" We took a poll the day of delivery and the votes were split evenly, 16 people said boy and 15 said girl. Out of 31 people, not one got the weight correct! He weighed in at 8lbs, 5 oz and 21 3/4 inches long. Adam and I agreed on Cooper because he looked like a Cooper and William was my Grandpa's name. Here are a few pics shortly after his arrival.

Getting Ready for Baby - 39 Weeks

My friends have inspired me to start a blog to keep family and friends updated on our new arrival. We'll see how it goes when the little one gets here, in other words, be patient! Here is my big belly at 39 weeks. Many of you have asked about the nursery and I keep saying, "it's not much." You can see in the pictures that I wasn't lying. :) Hopefully it will all come together when we find out whether it's a boy or girl!!! In the crib are both the girl and boy bedding, just waiting to see which will be used and which one returned?!? We are also waiting on our recliner/glider to arrive.
