Especially a Stella and Dot sale!!!  Head over to my website and click on the sale tab.  My favorites are the  Musette and the Bloom Flower Ring in black!  Let me know if I can help you in any way!

It's the little things

At Target last week, I picked up some plastic eggs for Easter that were disguised as sports balls from the $1 section.  Well, they have totally been worth the $1!  Cooper loves to put them all in a container and then throw them out one by one, then he repeats over and and over again! Hopefully he won't be sick of them by Easter. :)

March Sadness and a bubble bath

In reference to the last post, our weekend definitely did not end the way we had envisioned.  The framework was laid for another Final Four appearance, trip was planned to Houston and the road for the Hawks looked good.  Enter VCU-the team no one thought should even be in the tournament and they dominated us, the only #1 seed left and take our spot in the Final Four.  What can you say...they simply played better, no matter how heartbreaking that is.  And for the record, it's pretty darn heartbreaking, especially when the Final Four is in your backyard.  This picture makes me so sad, in fact this is basically how I felt...

We needed some fun after the dismal afternoon and gross weather day so bubble bath it was!  It was Cooper's first one and after a few minutes of taking it in (like most things with him), he was loving it!!!

How could this not cheer you up!

As always...Rock Chalk Jayhawk!

Day Out With Thomas!

Coop and I went to Day Out With Thomas this morning in Grapevine and had so much fun!  So sad that Dad couldn't go with us, he's in San Diego for work, hopefully next year!  The main attraction of the day is that Thomas is there and you can ride the train, but they have lots more.  First of all, you park far away and take a bus to the event.  I think we could have just done the bus ride and Coop would have been pleased!  Here is what else we did on this beautiful sunny, Saturday morning...it was 70 degrees at 9:15 when we got there and in the 80's when we left at 12!!!!!

Coop kept trying to pull the fence away, wanted to get closer to Thomas!  We got to watch a Thomas video, walk thru the gift shop (believe or not, I got out with nothing, despite Coop pulling everything he saw off the tables), see lots of trains, listen to some fun live music, get a Thomas tatoo...all before our 10:30 train departure time.
Waving hi to Thomas
So, this was us in line waiting for our train time, Thomas was just pulling up and everyone was soo excited.  This pic and the next 2 were what I got holding Cooper in one hand and taking pictures with the other.  They actually turned out cute, despite being off-center and cutting him off ;).

Love this picture, totally captured his awe of Thomas!
Man, this is when I needed another hand for video!  He's sitting on the train and saying "choo-choo."  He loved sitting by himself and when I leaned over him or got to close, he not so politely pushed me back over into my space.
Our professional plane spotter had spotted a plane and was giddy about it!
Waving hi/bye to all the people on the road, kept saying 'Thomas, Thomas.'
Checking out his Thomas tatoo
Before we left, we found the petting zoo.  He was loving all the animals...rabbits, ducks, goats, mini pot-bellied pigs but wouldn't touch any of them.  The one he would touch...the donkey.  He was petting him and saying, 'pat, pat, pat.'

Already excited to take him next year and see how his perspective on it will have changed.

Only one more thing to make this weekend complete and you all know what that is...

Visitors - Part #2

Off Grandma and Aunt Alli went back north on St. Patricks Day and the next day Mamaw and Papaw Jones arrived!  Have I mentioned before how great our families are??  Really, they are the best!  Adam sweet talked his parents with breakfast Saturday morning at The Snooty Pig before everyone was put on yard duty all day.  The front bushes and trees were trimmed, all brush cleaned up, lawn mowed and fertilized, garage unpacked, organized and set up.  I wish I had before pictures of the yard and garage because we made some major progress!   Garage officially can house my car again!  We found time to eat at some delicious places and watch March Madness, of course!!

No one was left out of yard duty!
Mamaw and Coop hard at work
Just another Saturday building shelves...
Pretty proud of himself
Wrapped up the day with a beautiful night at Southlake Town Square where only the pregnant one treated herself to dessert ;).

Thanks again Mamaw and Papaw Jones!

My little helper

While we were busy unpacking/organizing, Coop was keeping himself busy in his room.  Follow the sequence of pictures...

Looking for his next victim
 In he goes
And out go the nice, folded clothes in his drawers.
Thinking, 'now what,' as all of his clothes are scattered on the floor.
He has done lots of folding with me and obviously has been taking notes.  Apparently I hold clothes under my chin when folding?

Visitors-part #1

Aunt Alli had her last Spring Break and guess where she chose to spend it?  Yep, here in Keller helping her favorite sister unpack and get organized.  Lucky for us that Grandma came down too!  Adam has been out of town almost all month (literally) for work so it was perfect timing to have some company for a week straight!!!  Wish I would have taken pictures of all the progress we made on this house...pretty unbelievable.  Would have taken me weeks or months, that is for sure!  Of course we treated ourselves to some good meals and a trip to Nothing Bundt Cakes. ;)  Thanks again Mom and Alli, you really are the best!

Imitating Alli blowing bubbles with her gum
Thinks this book is hilarious, loves the "oops" part on every page!
St. Patrick's Day lunch at one of our favorites...Kincaids!
These were considered "work boots" for the week!  They did a lot of attic walking!  My sister and I kept joking that you could make a drinking game out of every time my mom said, "Don't lift that Ashley, it's too heavy."  Needless to say, the fine legs in the picture aren't mine, I was just pointing fingers. ;)

Fun at the grocery store?

Yes, you read that right!  I thought moving Cooper out of the front basket to the Little Tikes car with the cart attached would be exciting, then Aunt Alli found this...

I mean, look at this thing!  It came equipped with a TV inside!  We could have shopped Tom Thumb for hours!!!  And the separate cart bins is so nice to separate foods and no little fingers can pick things up and throw them out, of course Coopie has never done that. :)
You think he was excited to be riding in a car watching Mickey Mouse?  And yes, the screen on the outside let me change the channel!
Again, excited? Thanks Aunt Alli for demanding we use this cart, boring Mom was just going to toss him in the regular cart, grab him a free cookie and get to shopping.  This was way more fun!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Hoping the luck of the Irish is with you all today and especially our Jayhawks this weekend!  Happy St. Patrick's Day from our little leprechaun!  Can't believe how much he has changed from last year

Our Little Cowboy

After days of trying to get this hat on Cooper, wouldn't you know he just picked it up and put it on himself!  He thought it was hilarious!  As we were leaving dinner last night, there was a little boy walking towards us wearing a cowboy hat, Cooper pointed at him and said 'cowboy,' pretty funny!

A cowboy just isn't a cowboy without a horse!!!

Rock Chalk Jayhawk!!!

One Championship down, one to go!!!
4 more victories and this family is headed to Houston to cheer on the Hawks!  This is my favorite time of year but in a blink of an eye that can change...hoping my Hawks play well this weekend, can't wait to watch them!!!  Rock Chalk Jayhawk, Go KU!

Another Haircut

So, believe it or not, we are haircut #3 for this boy.  No, he doesn't have a lot of hair, but I just can't stand the mini-mullet and hair over the ears.  This time we headed to Great Clips and he had a similar reaction to haircut #1 and haircut #2.

Even the sucker wasn't consoling him!
Finally chilled out a little

Home, Sweet, Home

We have been in our new home a week and a half and it is feeling like a home.  The visible boxes are unpacked and things are starting to find their places.  Don't get me wrong, lots more to do, like the dining room full of boxes that we used to house in our basement...no basement here.  No desk in the office yet, so it has become a catch all of anything paper related and our living room is still couchless (should arrive this week).

This post is pics from move-in weekend, didn't get as many before/after pics as I wanted.  And, Lola's adventure definitely put a halt to picture taking for a while.  My parents surprised me (Adam was in on it) Thursday night to be here to help us with the move.  It was a spur of the moment decision as my dad called my mom Thursday morning and said to be ready to leave at 1pm...how fun is that!!  We never would have accomplished what we did in that weekend without them!!  I hope that Adam and I can be half the parents ours are to us!!!

Moving van arrived around 8:30 and they were out of here by 2ish and that was with a 2 hour trip back and forth to get the rest of our stuff!  They carried the boxes to the correct room and then put together all the beds and big furniture.
Just the beginning of the dining room.  The boxes are stacked about 2 feet higher and cover almost every inch of the room.
The kitchen before the chaos!  Literally, every square inch of the counter space was covered in dishes at one point, as you will see in a later picture.
Lola (before the escape) always manages to make herself a bed somewhere.  Coop is always giving her kisses and sharing his blankie with her...so sweet!
My fabulous mom washed all of these dishes, but everyone knows how picky I am about where my dishes go, so they stayed on the counter until I was ready to get organized!  Adam attempted to help, but I just ended up moving them in the end...the kitchen is my territory. ;)
Our bedroom closet, this is where Coopie played while the movers were here and napped too!
Ride 'em cowboy!
I think we could have filled half of our house with all the packing paper!!!
Saturday night we were getting down to business...my mom and I putting the kitchen together and the boys hooking up the dryer.  Coop was just running crazy, trying to get attention from anyone!  We had to call in for backup, our backup is Toy Story.  Dad put together this setup and Coop was in heaven!
There was a lot of work to be done, but let's face it...we all wanted to be right there watching Toy Story with our boy!  Please note the Woody doll hat he was trying to fit into.
Storytime with Grandma in his new bedroom...make this bedroom #4 in his short 19 months of life!  Someone asked me how the transition was to a new room, what transition?  This boy is so used to sleeping different places it doesn't phase him one bit!  He has slept like a baby since day one here.
Grandpa and his helper taking a chocolate chip cookie break, notice Coopie's shirt.
The view from upstairs...yikes!  We had talks of just rolling up the rug and turning it into a basketball court, too bad that new couch is already on its way!  Those toys are slowly finding a home, that is when Cooper's sleeping, otherwise they are everywhere!!!  As predicted here, Coop is dropping any ball he can find off the railing down to the first floor, aaahhhh!  So frustrating especially since as soon as he does it, he cries because he wants the ball back!

More pictures to come as we slowly turn this house into a home!
