Napa Valley - Day 3

This was our first full day in Napa Valley.  It was perfection!
Adam works with a doctor that frequents Napa so he hooked us up with a driver that he always uses.  Adam set it all up and worked with our driver Gordy on the itinerary.  Gordy picked us up at 10:30 that morning and we were off!  Gordy wasn't just any driver, he has lived in Napa his whole life and makes his own wine.  He had lots of fun facts for us and fit in well with our rowdy crowd.  Here was our day…I had to copy and paste this from Maggie's blog (thanks Mags!) because I already couldn't remember where we had went!

Winery #1: Jessup Cellars...not my favorite since it was not actually set in the vineyards, but the wine was still pretty good.
Winery #2: Vinoce (Twenty Rows)...this place had some damage from the recent earthquake. It was my favorite as far as the price of the wines, and they were DELICIOUS!
Winery #3: Aonair...this was my favorite of the day/trip. The setting was to die for and the food they served us for lunch was AMAZING (wood oven pizzas and salads).
Winery #4: Frisinger Family Vineyard. Beautiful place as well!

Tanya had a great recommendation on a house to rent and it did not disappoint!  This was the view out our bedroom window, beautiful!

The house set on a vineyard.
 First up, Jessup Cellars.
Cheers!  Nothing like red wine at 11am!

This was at Vinoce…very urban like setting.
Our driver Gordy gave Joyce a bottle of his wine, Witchery, when he heard her birthday was on Halloween.
This was at Aonair.  It was beautiful!
The winery owner's Dad had lunch with us and filled us in on their vineyards and wines.

I think this was everyone's favorite spot of the day!
Our last stop of the day was Frisinger family vineyard.
Clearly we were having no fun.

We were so thankful for Gordy and his expertise, he planned such an awesome day!
We had a delicious dinner at Farmstead!

In every picture John is…well being John :).  I was at the other end of the table so I had no idea until I started going thru pictures.
Funny story…after dinner we called for Uber to take us home.  It was us girls in one car and the boys waited on another.  There was a gate on our house and we couldn't get the code to work so we had to sneak around it…pretty sure our driver thought we were trespassing.  We hiked our red wine happy hips up the hill to our house where we called it a night.
