Doodles on Vacay

I feel Laney Faith deserves her own vacation post because she was the odd kid out.  The girls had one another and so did the boys and they could all play together-but Doodles was just left to crawl after and cause havoc in whatever they were doing.
She really was so good and her easy going personality shined through.  Unfortunately she didn't add sleeping in to her vacation habits, so we were up by 7 each morning. :(  This also meant she was going down for her morning nap just as we were headed out the beach.  She would join us for about an hour before we headed in for lunch.

I think she was in the sand just once or twice the week we were there.  We would put her in this inflatable pool with towels and toys and she was content.  She seemed so in awe of it all and rarely even tried to climb out.  After this pic, we had a big umbrella/tent up so she was in the shade.  Honestly, I was dreading the idea of her at the beach, but she was so, so easy!!!
That Elmo phone was her favorite of the few toys I packed for the trip.  Seriously, she played for hours with that thing!
In the mornings and while getting ready, I kept her contained in our room.  She played and played with her container of bows.
I came out of the shower one afternoon to these two just giggling.  I am pretty sure they both loved all the time they spent together...Laney goes to bed pretty early and Adam often works late, so they don't see a whole lot of one another during the week.
The boys would park their hot wheels (and whatever else they didn't want Laney to touch) under this table.  This girl was determined, literally butting her head up against the table to try and reach them.

To keep her distracted from picking up e-v-e-r-y little thing off the ground and into her mouth, we gave her kitchen utensils.  Who needs all those fancy toys at home?  We did just fine for a week with just the few we brought along.
