5 days without Adam...we survived ;)

Adam being gone 5 days at a time, and over the weekend, used to be the norm.  Thankfully it's not the norm anymore.  He does travel but it's always during the week and not for 5 days!  We did survive and had lots of fun too!

I was trying to text with my girlfriend Julie that is due anyday with her first baby and I was attacked by all 3 kids!
I told Julie to enjoy her last few days of quiet ;).
She sweetened the moment.
Adam asked for a pic of the 3 kids...Piper was super happy about it.
We went to my parents one afternoon to play outside with Gunner and Landree.  My mom and Coop played an intense game of baseball.
Alli and Rusty had the fam over for a delicious dinner!  Rusty made that picnic table!  If you need one for your kids, let me know and I will get you in touch with him.

Friday morning I took the big kids to the Coterie Children's Theatre at Crown Center to see Cat in the Hat.  We had read the book and watched the movie so they were excited!  She randomly requested pigtails that morning.

I wasn't sure what they would think of the play but they LOVED it!  They thanked me over and over for taking them and wanted to know when they could go again.
In the room next door, they had a Fairytale Village set up.

We were amazed by these Lego creations and the kids wanted their pics taken by them.

Friday night we walked up to the school carnival.
We waited in line for 20 minutes for Laney to get her face painted.  The carnival was crazy town so Alli took the babies home.  Thanks to her, the kids and I were able to enjoy the carnival.

The first time they played the Cake Walk, Laney won.  Except it's no longer the cake walk, it's the junk food walk...totally not the same.  No homemade goodies anymore, what is happening to this world?!?!

I had such a fun time with my big kids!!
These 2 greeted me in bed before 7am on Saturday morning.
We were dressed and ready for his game and then it got rained out 5 minutes before we were walking out the door.
Grandma brought over donuts to cheer up the gloomy morning.
My sister and I took the kids to Rainbow Play Systems indoor play center.  It was so fun, despite a few hiccups.

We played lots of board games.
Piper loves the drawer with all their cups and plates.  Her favorite thing is to throw them all out.

Nothing says fun like a grocery store trip with 3 kids.  Laney was too busy throwing herself on the floor to smile for a picture.
Coop's Sunday soccer game didn't get rained out...will write more about it later.
We came home and while Pippi took a nap, Laney and I cleaned out my car and Cooper practiced baseball in the driveway.
She loves to color now!  And I love that she has found an activity that isn't 100% destructive.
As Piper (quickly) outgrows clothes, I just throw them in her closet-yikes!  Who else feels like it's a part-time job keeping up with changing out closets with clothes that fit their kids??  I finally cleaned that mess up...3 big tubs of clothes!  You can see her closet floor again, at least for the next few days ;).

Adam came home Monday night and they kids were over the moon happy to see him and me too!
