A trip to Wash, MO - End of 09/15

We were finally able to leave Overland Park for the first time since Memorial Day- woo hoo!  We don't liked to be locked down but due to the store opening, we were home for a few months.  Adam and I worked the first couple weekends of September and then we hit the road for the next 2 weekends.
Adam picked Coop up from school in the rain. The girls and I were already in the car, ready to hit the road to Wash, MO!
Laney took this and it pretty accurately shows what our car rides look like in the passenger seat.  If Pippi isn't sleeping, she usually needs something, even if it's just a hand to hold.
5 minutes into the car ride,
20 minutes into the car ride.  She just isn't a pleasant road tripper.
We made it!  Em was playing babies with Pippi.
Always happy to see each other!
My pics often seem blurry, every kid is busy!

Brody and Piper reunited for highchair lunch dates.
What's sweeter than 1 baby?  2 babies!  Our good friends, the Alfermanns, had identical twin boys at the end of summer - Charlie and Louie.  They couldn't be sweeter!   I was over the moon to get to hold those sweet babies and catch up with good friends, if only for a quick bit.
At a school auction, Adam's parents had bought a dinner/afternoon on the farm of a local Washington family.  They live on beautiful property, we had a fun afternoon and evening on the farm!
The rope swing was a hit.

Pippi loves to make friends with dogs.
We bets on who would go in the pond first, Piper or Brody.  For the record, neither of them did.
We went on a hayride to see their pig farm.  My kids acted like they had never been on a farm before.  They couldn't get over the pig smell, totally dramatic.

John works hard to get attention from Laney but she doesn't budge.  Piper on the other hand is John's buddy.
My boys live in their Urban Air shirts.  It was a beautiful fall day!
They had some newborn piglets running around or I should say, running away from the kids.

The drama continued in the pig barns.

 A fun weekend!
