Coop's 1st trip to the K this year!

To wrap up the first week of June, on Sunday morning, my Dad took Bryson, Gunner and Coop to the Royals game.  To say Cooper was excited would be an understatement.  He loves baseball and most nights we watch the Royals games on TV.  If we don't watch, Coop is on my phone checking the score or asks right away the next morning.  

Love this!  

 Bryson said Cooper was really into the game and Gunner was really into his snacks, lol.

 It was a hot, hot day so thankfully they were in the shade...and had sno-cones.

Cooper was pumped because Perez hit a homerun!

Before he left, I told Cooper to use good manners and if Grandpa wants to buy you something other than food, tell him, no thanks-you have enough stuff at home to play with.  Apparently, he didn't say a word when Grandpa was buying he and Gunner Salvador Perez bats, can't blame him though!

 After the game, we all met at my parents house for dinner and apparently swimming.  The pool had just been filled the day before so the water was C-O-L-D!  The kids slowly put their feet in and then they were in their undies (because no one packed swimsuits!) fully in the water.  The baby girls hung out on the steps.

 Allison told the kids the first person that swam across the pool she was taking to get a sno-cone.  Gunner dove right in!

Laney wasn't too far behind and Cooper did it eventually.

Lots of front yard baseball with whatever family members he can sweet talk out there.

We wrapped up the night with popsicles, of course.

Whew!  This one was a mess leaving and most of the way home, overtired.  She fell asleep as we pulled into the neighborhood.  

A fun weekend but we were ready for Dad to be home!!!!

The first week of June

It was the first week of June but you wouldn't know by the weather.  It rained and rained some more with mild temps and gloomy days, but we made the best of it! 

 In between rain storms, we did our best to get outside.  The girls love to color with chalk and Coop usually has me playing catch...when I am not chasing Piper down the sidewalk or out in the road.

 Adam was out of town most of the week so we sent him pics along the way.

 The Gibson and Nitschke girls came over to play!  Cooper asked me why my friends have all girls ;).

 My parents had to get a new liner in their pool this year.  Cooper helped my dad clean it out to get ready for the new liner.

 Poor Lola needed a haircut bad!!!!!  This was on the way to the groomers, I had plans to get an after pic but it didn't happen.

The tray has been removed from her high chair because she either does this or put it on her head.

 Friday morning we met the Stilley girls at the Rainbow Play Systems warehouse.  They have open play-which is a great options on rainy days.

 Friday afternoon, Cash and Quincy came over for a while to play.  Cash invited Coop over to spend the night-Aaron took them to Sneads where Coop thoroughly enjoyed his brisket.

 They both enjoyed dessert.

 Adam was still out of town and Coop was gone, so she and I got in our pjs, made popcorn and watched cartoons together.  She wasn't crying, there was something in her eye ;).

 Members of the big bow club!  I went to pick Coop up Saturday morning and we switched kids.  I took Cash with us to watch Cooper play baseball and Laney stayed to lunch with Quincy.  She loves to mother Quincy.

The sun came out for the weekend!  Coop continues to love baseball and plays well.

Ava-Grace had her dance recital but I had all 3 kids so I wasn't sure how it was going to work.  I love to watch her dance because she is so incredibly talented!!  Since Laney was already napping at his house, Aaron offered to keep her and Coop so I could go watch, so nice!  So I dropped both boys off after the game and headed to dance recital with Piper.  As always, Ava totally impressed me!

 She got warm at the recital, napped on me (never happens!) and just got warmer so we left early and by the time we got back to Aarons to pick up the kids she was miserable.  She had a 102 fever, poor baby!

 So we ordered Dominos and stayed in for the night!

 After we put Pippi to bed and cleaned up, the big kids and I watched Mary Poppins.  It was their first time to watch and I wasn't sure what they would think.  Of course, Laney can.not sit still and watch a movie so she danced on that chair for most of the movie.  At the end, they both really liked it!  

Just as I was going to bed around midnight, I went to check on this sweet baby one last time.  She was sitting up in her crib just looking around.  I took her to my room, took her temp (101), gave her some more motrin and got her back to sleep around 1.

Sunday was a pretty lazy morning, Pippi was still running a bit of a fever.  Coop got to go to the Royals game...will post on that and the rest of our Sunday next...this post is getting a bit picture overloaded!

Fire Department at the library

I love summer field trips and taking advantage of all the great activities the library has to offer.  However, these activities can be totally hit or miss.  The fire department visiting the library was a total hit!  We met my mom and the Souders kids there on another gloomy KC day.

 First the firemen talked to the kids and answered questions.  Can you spot our three?  We kept the babies corralled in the back corner.

 Then we went outside.  They had 2 trucks and talked to the kids about them...I think...I was chasing Piper.  We couldn't believe how high this ladder went up!

 While we were outside, they set up a library room with all sorts of fire department activities.  I loved this one for Coop. 

 They wrote thank you letters to the firefighters.  They had puzzles, a firetruck tent, firemen costumes, puppets and of course, books to read.

In my kids' mind, the perfect way to wrap up our morning is with lunch at Chick-Fil-A and Landree agrees!  

Final May Wrap Up

 We kept Henley one evening for a few hours, my kids love when cousins are over to play.

 Laney was playing a game where she would sit on each of the babies (can I still call them babies??) and they thought it was hilarious.

 Grandma's Monday preschool carpool!

 Laney had a Teddy Bear picnic the last week of preschool.

 It was 80 degrees and she was insistent on the boots and sweater.

 The last week of school Cooper drew pictures for everyone in his class.  He numbered them 1 to 15 to make sure he didn't forget anyone ;). 

 This has been the breakfast of choice for the kids most of the school year, english muffin with peanut butter and honey.

 For a couple weeks she spent lots of time pushing her brother's trucks around the house. 

 The kids had a bucket of water and medicine droppers outside.  They were filling them up and spraying one another, the grass and passing cars.  This kept them busy for over 30 minutes!

 I can't remember where she was going here, I am sure it was somewhere fab.  She is totally into filling bags with lots of crap and hauling them around the house.  If something is missing, it's usually in one of her purses.

 It rained most of May, no joke.  This was a rare hot, sunshiny day!  Our cousin Will was over and played with the kids all afternoon.

 After being outside, they came in for popcorn and to watch Paddington.

 I have been working on puzzles with her.

 This had me dying laughing!  Everytime I eat healthy, this is what I think.  Give me all the chocolate!

 Gator rides!  This doesn't look safe at all, I couldn't even watch.  This was a Dad approved activity.
