Catching Up

Ok-so I am getting behind on the blog.  I do so well when we are in our regular boring routine at home :).  Last week Mamaw and Papaw were visiting and this week we are at Grandma and Grandpas.  I plan on blogging a little tomorrow, but in the meantime I couldn't help but share this...

These earrings are 50% off thru tomorrow.  From l to r, they are the laurel studs $9, swallow studs $9, and soar earrings $19.50.  You must enter the code BETTER at checkout.  I think the studs would make perfect stocking stuffers!  You can shop directly here or email me ash4545@hotmail.com if you are interested!  I am headed to host a trunk show for a sorority sister tonight and can't wait to share the sale with her guests!

Smile Fridays - week 25

Adam was out of town for 5 days last week thru the weekend.  I am smiling because we are a 2 parent household once again.  Every time he is gone, I say extra prayers for single moms because I am certain that is the most difficult job out there.  And my kids were awesome, they really were, but a mom can only play pretend Super Heros for so many hours a day before you need some back up!

These pics were from Sunday out to lunch at Kincaids.  That morning the 3 of us made it to 9am mass, the grocery store, and shopping for family picture attire (without a stroller)...after that I felt like SuperWoman so we treated ourselves to greasy burgers, fries and a cherry coke :).

Adam's parents are in town which means I got my oil changed alone!, got my hair did!, and someone else has been cleaning up after every meal!!!!  Yay for me!

Laney Faith has manners!

Just like when Cooper was a baby, I have been hesitant to give Laney eating utensils.  Honestly, I hadn't even thought about it until she found some in a drawer to play with one day and immediately knew what to do!  The next day I gave her a fork for breakfast and voila she was feeding herself!

She does pretty good all by herself and doesn't like me to do it for her.

What else is she doing these days you ask?  Well, she has become a professional walker, waves bye to everyone, says mommy 1,985 times a day, also says Daddy, Lola, Gall? (apparently that's milk), eat (while pulling on her high chair) and other blabbering...no Cooper yet.

Style for Steal

Woot-Woot!  Doesn't get much better than these 3 necklaces and the prices they are for the next 48 hours!!!

Pre-School Thanksgiving Feast

Let the holiday festivities begin.  We were invited to Cooper's Thanksgiving feast at pre-school today.  I know the staff works so hard to pull it off so it looks effortless.  We sit and they serve us!  They even have the Pastor come in and lead prayer.  Adam and I couldn't be more thankful for this amazing preschool and his incredible teachers that take such good care of him.

They even bring handmade placemats and place cards.  And that head dress, holy cuteness!

Here's the link to last year's Thanksgiving Feast.  Oh my gosh, the kids were so little, Coop looked like a baby!!!

iphone photo dump

Have I mentioned how great it is to have a phone with a camera?  Just.love.it.  Especially to send to our out of town grandparents and randomly to Dad at work.
The toy catalogs are officially pouring in.  His #1 Christmas wish...a skateboard.  What?!
When you have 80 degree November days and kids in good moods, you have picnic lunches.  They are awesome.
Of course she doesn't sit still for very long and was eating her food off the concrete.
Headed out the door.  He asked me if he looked like one of the guys from One Direction, or One Good Direction as he calls them.  Yep, the cowboy boots are a staple these days.
Sunday morning cartoons before the rush to get ready for church.
After church visit to the park before heading to lunch.
They both were loving giving us kisses thru the bars.
Yep, that sums up their personalities. (most of the time)
Laney could ride in this car all day.
Daylight savings got the best of this kid, can't handle waking up in the 6:00 hour.  He fell asleep on the rug (I think mid-conversation) at 11:45 when I was making lunch.  Do you notice his shorts are on backwards?  Yep, happens when he dresses himself and his underwear are rarely on the correct way.
Doodle Bops loves to look out her window.
Lola loves when Cooper is charge of giving her "one" treat.

Hope you all are having a fab weekend!  Adam has been out of town and we sure are missing him!

Smile Fridays - week 24

I was in a real bind today.  I had a Stella and Dot show this morning, usually adore my morning trunk shows!  Well, I soon realized that my sitter was going to be a no-show.  I was panicking...it was 9:50 and I was supposed to be at my hostesses home in 10 minutes and she lived 10 minutes away.  I was texting/calling friends and good neighbors that I knew didn't work and would be (even the slightest bit) happy to keep the kids for a couple hours.  It was 10:05 and I had nothing.  Yep, sheer panic.  This wasn't a lunch with friends I could just skip...this hostess was having 10-15 women at her house in less than 30 minutes, it was my job.  So what did I do, well what I had to do.  I packed up the kids to take with me.  I called my hostess crying (whom I have only met once) and she was 100% gracious.  Of course I wasn't worried about Cooper, just put on a movie and he's golden.  It was little sis I was concerned about for obvious reasons.
My angel of a friend called me back on the way.  She just said, "I will meet you there and take the kids to my house."  No questions asked.  Problem solved.  I got set up in record time, it was an incredible show and I knew my kids were in the best hands.  So today, I smile for good friends that are like family when you don't have family near.

What could make a Jayhawk fan smile more than the start of basketball season!
I turned on the game tonight and the first thing Cooper said was, "hey mom, there's uncle bill."
Another fab episode of Pay Heed.  If nothing else, skip to minute/second, 2:56 to watch an incredible dunk by one of our freshman!
