Pictures

I posted back here about Laney's newborn pics.  Well, her pictures have arrived!

This is her newborn book, how cute is the cover?!!  I have one for Cooper as well, and still look at his at least once a week.  Wouldn't trade them for the world!  I was joking with Adam that I can see myself when Laney leaves for college with this book and a bottle of wine in bed wondering where my baby girl went :).  Pretty sure he thinks I am crazy ;).

Here are some of the pics I ordered in an 11x14, 8x10 and 5x7s.

My new fireplace decor!  So much better than some random painting or picture!
This is a page out of Coop's newborn book.  To me, he and Laney resemble one another so much, besides the hair factor :).

I told our photographer that if I had an unlimited budget, I would do family pics every 6 months!  Sure, I take pictures, but there is nothing like the work of a professional!  It is not an easy task, in fact it's close to impossible, to wrangle kids to sit in a certain place and get that perfect smile/look.  So, if you are in Oklahoma or DFW area and need family pics, you must use Kristin Cook, look her up here!

Firetruck at Preschool

Cooper is doing so great at preschool!  Just last week his teachers told me that he is a changed boy from the first week, talking lots and repeating directions from teachers.  He talks about his teachers, Miss Selina and Miss Jenn and goes running into his classroom each morning.  Of course, his favorite part about school is his friend, Meghan :).

His preschool has a few "stay at school field trips" throughout the year.  The first was last week, the Southlake Fire Department came to visit!

From the minute he walked outside, this smile didn't leave his face.
 The Ladybug Class!
I did fix his hair this morning, but all the way to school he was pushing it down with his hands...stinker!
This is the craft Cooper came home with, how cute is this???

First Kansas Visit

This past weekend we took our first road trip with 2 kids and I can happily say it was a success!  We drove up to KC for my sister/future brother in-law bachelor/bachelorette parties.  We left home at 3:30 and stopped just twice for dinner/gas and for Laney to eat.  Ah, the joys of nursing in gas station parking lots and changing diapers on your lap/backseat of car. :)  No, really, the kids were awesome and we made it in 9 hours, that is great time to us with 2 munchkins.  The best part...my fabulous husband drove the whole way!!!!! I thought for sure he would hand over the night shift to me, but he kept going (probably because he knows I drive exactly the speed limit and he was trying to make good time:)) and I definitely dozed off somewhere between Wichita and Ottawa.

It was the most crazy busy weekend ever!  Friday was a revolving doors of visitors to meet Laney Faith and we took her for her first visit to JalapeƱos.  Saturday was hair/dress appts, bridal shower, dress and bachelorette party shopping, and bachelorette party!  Before I knew it, it was Sunday morning and we were back on the road!!!

Get this...my two best friends from high school and I all had babies within 6 weeks of one another and we all had girls!!!  Crazy, huh?  Lakeyn is on the left (her sis is Emersyn) and Gianna is in the middle (born just 2 days before Laney).  How perfect are the their onesies?  Stacey's mom picked them up for the girls, so perfect!

What's better than 10 baby toes?  30 baby toes!!!!!!
Laney met her cousin Gunner, who is 6 weeks older.  These two are sure to drive Cooper crazy in a few months :).
Souders cousins!  I caught poor Gunner and Laney with heads in motion.
 Uncle Brock
Aunt Tara and Uncle Bryson
Laney meeting cousin Cash!  Cooper and Laney got to hang with Uncle Aaron, Aunt Cami, cousin Cash and Mamaw and Papaw Jones Saturday night while we all were out on the town for the bachelor and bachelorette!
At dinner before hitting the town.  The only pic I have of the night, didn't bring my big camera along to the bars ;).

We drove back home Sunday and will head north again soon for all the wedding festivities...can't wait!  Guess it's time to hammer out my MOH speech!

Ducks

We have a great little pond and walking trail minutes from our house.  Whenever we finish a loaf of bread, we take a trip to the pond to feed the ducks.  The weather has been beautiful lately, so it has been great to go anytime of day instead of planning it around the insanely hot weather!

These ducks act like they have never eaten!  The 2 big white ones are so greedy and bossy, we purposely throw our bread away from them!
On this day, we had a little duck that wanted to go home with us.

I was on dog duty while Dad and Coop fed the ducks-Lola tries to attack them, the ducks that is.
Very rarely can we capture a (non-cheesy) smile on camera these days!

Dad and his kids

A couple weeks ago I was going thru my camera and realized I have lots of pictures, but rarely are Adam and I in them.  So, I have got a few picture perfect moments of dad and the kids.

My favorite part of this picture, the blurry black ball of fur jumping up to get in on the picture.  Oh Lola!

Love, love this picture!  Can you see how Adam is guarding Laney?  That's because Cooper was attacking him on the couch.
Dad and his sweet girl that already has him worried about her later years ;).

Funny Faces

The faces I was getting one day at lunch last week...
Laney's face isn't so much funny as angry looking, but that hair doesn't disappoint!
Can you tell he had peanut butter and jelly for lunch?  He currently insists on taking the sandwich apart and eating each piece of bread separately.  And yes, we are very aware of the work that thumb of his is doing to his front teeth...job security for orthodontists :).

Oldest Sibling

No, I am not talking about Cooper!  Check out the shirt below and here to see Cooper wearing it.  People always ask me if Cooper had as much hair as Laney.  The pics in that link definitely answer that question...nope!

Laney totally looks like Coop in this picture!
