Beautiful Fall Days!

We have had some really great weather days here and we are trying to get outside for all of them.  I just know that in a blink of an eye it's going to be too cold to go outside and do fun things :(.  Besides walks to the park, Deanna Rose and the arboretum have become our favorite spots.

She was so excited to see the animals this visit to Deanna Rose!
A couple of times we went after naps and made it for the last hour that the park was open.  It's a great time to go - not many people at all!

 How most pictures turn out.
We are also eating dinner out on the deck when we can!
Tuesdays at the arboretum are free and since it's 5 minutes from our house, it's the perfect place to visit!  I make lunches, pick the kids up from school and head there.
These girls are going to give those big kids a run for their money pretty soon.
Another Deanna Rose visit.  This time after our hair appts.
 Just love this place!!!!

She thought the goats were hilarious!
Her first time in a swing and she loved it.  She was squealing and couldn't stop smiling.
 So sweet!

I picked up the kids from school today and we went to the arboretum again!
 Love her feet!

Laney needed a break from walking, she was hot in her skinny jeans ;).  Coop took over my camera.

Laney's 1st haircut

Yep, she's a little over 3 and just getting her first haircut.  I was pretty attached to that baby hair turned mullet of hers.  The ends were just getting too stringy so I caved and we went and got a trim.  Literally a trim, if you didn't know her hair you wouldn't know she got it cut :).
 Out of control!
 The before
During.  She didn't say a word, just smiled and kept her hands in her mouth.  She didn't stop smiling!
With her hairdresser :).   Ashley does the whole family's hair.
Not a great after picture but it's all I got!

A FUN weekend to wrap up September

The last weekend of September was a fun one with beautiful weather!

Gunner had a sleepover with us since his parents were on vacation.  I am sure my brother will love this…Gunner fixing Laney's hair.  And yes, she's topless - who knows why.
Pippi didn't have a good weekend. She ran a fever and just wasn't her happy self. :(
Friday night dance party on the deck!
After baths, watching cartoons before bed.
Happy Saturday morning!  The look of a baby that doesn't feel great.
The boys came in our room at 7:00 to tell us the sun was up :).  They played Legos until about 7:45 when they came back in asking for breakfast.
First birthday party of the day was for Anna!  Back here I talked about us going roller skating to practice.  Again, so glad we did!  The kids were definitely comfortable putting on their skates and getting out on the rink.

The rainbow fairy birthday girl, Anna!
Thankful for Adam, he strapped on those roller blades and hit the rink like he skates everyday.

We went home for naps and then headed to birthday party #2 of the day.  This time it was for the Gibson girls, Gia was 3 and Emery 1!
 Princess Elsa was there!
 She was so happy!

Somehow Laney had the birthday girl pulling her around the yard in the wagon…pretty sure it should have been the other way around!

Apple Picking

Apple picking was #1 on my Fall must do list since we had never done it before.  My friend Jenny recommended the Weston Red Barn Farm and it didn't disappoint.  I picked up the kids from school a week ago today, drove thru Chick-Fil-A and hit the road.  It was about 45 minutes from home so I hoped they would all take a nap on the way there, mission accomplished.
We got there just as the school field trips were leaving so there weren't many people there.  In fact, we were the only ones picking on our area of trees.
The kids each got their own basket and Coop was all about it.

My mom met us there with Gunner and Landree.  The kids did lots of running and talking.

 Lots of great apples.

The barns in the distance held animals that you could go and see.
She thought the chickens were funny.

These sweet babies were so good!
It was a beautiful afternoon, we were sweating buckets but I will take that anyday over the cold.  We came home with a lot of apples.  I have made applesauce with them and the kids made mini apple pies with my mom tonight…yum!  It was a fun Fall afternoon!

The 2nd half of September

How is it October!?  Here are some random pics from the 2nd half of September.
We went to the Zac Brown Band concert, Adam's favorite.  They were incredible!  And it was cold, brrrr!  Adam drank beer and I drank hot chocolate :).
Thanks to the big kids, I often have lots of random pictures on my phone.  I love when they actually include family and not just their feet :).
Yes, she wears heels while walking the dog.
Sweet Cooper playing peek-a-boo with Piper to keep her happy.
While I was nursing Piper she went in my bathroom and used my eyeliner as lipstick and was so proud.
She created a home for her babies…right by the front door.  I left it there for a few days and when people came over I had to literally kick a path clear for them to walk thru.  She is so messy it's crazy.
My dog walking crew.  And yes, Laney's shirt is on backwards.  She dressed herself and didn't want it changed.
On Mondays Grandma picks the boys up from preschool so sometimes her and the Souders' kids stay for lunch.
All 3 kids looking AND smiling at the camera?!!  This may be one of five.
She pushes her baby in the stroller but usually wants help 3/4 of way thru walk.
Ouch!  This is how she was sleeping when I checked on her last night.  And yes, I moved her :).
