Fort Worth Cats

The last time we went to a Cats game I was 39 weeks pregnant with Laney Faith.  I just looked back at that post and I am officially sad.  How did the last 2 years go by so fast??  Cooper was Laney's age and Laney was still in my belly!!!!!!  If you want a walk down nostalgic lane, click here.

At the beginning of the summer I bought tickets on Groupon to see the Fort Worth Cats, the local minor league baseball team.  We kept waiting for the weather to cool off, but then we remembered we live in Texas and it's summer.  So, off we went last Friday night and as we pulled into the ball park our car read 105 degrees!

Told ya!
that's my cute Stella & Dot phone case, not Adam's ;)
Our original seats which we were told were it the shade...false.  But since the stadium was less than half full, we upgraded ourselves to shade.
The first 10 minutes were brutal between the sun and constant asking when we were getting snacks.  But we moved seats, got popcorn/gatorade and all was good.
We were close...see all those empty seats.
One guess on who drank the red Gatorade?  This kid loved every part of the experience.
This kid loved the popcorn :).
No joke that she ate over 1/2 that bag herself.
This was when Dodger (the creepy looking cat mascot) appeared.  She's not afraid of much but she was not a fan of Dodger.
She really did enjoy more than the popcorn ;).
This ball was volleyed around between sections and kept our kids entertained for almost an hour.
Laney even got in on the action!
He was sooo excited to get his picture with Dodger.
This was the fancy bullpen in the outfield.  Coop wanted a ball and we told him he could ask but we weren't doing it for him.  He proceeded to pace in front of these guys an entire inning working up the courage to ask them for a ball.  He did and was so proud of himself and we were of him too.  It was the icing on the baseball cake for the night.
Such a fun night!  Hopefully next time we go I won't be pregnant and can enjoy one of those ice cold $2.50 beers that looked so tasty compared to my water (that I was sharing with Laney)!
