First Steps, with some assistance :)

Check out the link below to watch Coop take his first steps with a 'sit and stand' toy.  Adam happened to be working from home today, so we were able to capture it right away with the camera.  A little background to the video...I stood him up and expected him to need my help or collapse like every other day.  He proved us wrong this time!

He worked so hard today, we just had to pick up this ball at the grocery store. :)  He loves it, has been playing with it since we picked it up from the store half hour ago!

Signs of Summer

Top 3 reasons we love summer...  I feel like these really won't change much over the years, I know they haven't for me!

Flip Flops, could these be any cuter?  However, they are usually on for 10 minutes and then Coop is eating them...gross, I know.

Ice cream and popsicles, Dad shared his with Coop and Kellen.  You can see in the boys faces, their popsicle was very tart!  These are courtesy of the (creepy) neighborhood ice cream truck.  It just isn't summer until you hear the tune of the ice cream man in the neighborhood.
Last, but not least...The Pool!  Thank goodness this baby loves the water!

Hope you all are enjoying summer as much as we are!

Father's Day

Unfortunately we were traveling most of Father's Day, but Adam did get to spend a few hours with Cooper.  Coop is lucky to have such a fun and caring Dad.  The love for his dad is evident, just by his smile when Adam is in the room.  Cooper was lucky enough to spend time with both of his Grandpas too, they are the best!  Hope all the Dads had a great day!!!

These two are going to have so much fun in coming years
Coop got his Dad some pics to hang in his otherwise bare office

A weekend without Cooper

Adam and I were Cooperless over the last weekend to travel to Cleveland, OH for a Jones family wedding.    I happily dropped Cooper off in Columbia Thursday afternoon with Grandma and Aunt Alli and off he went to spend the weekend in KC.  It was Adam and I's 5th anniversary (wow!), so we went to Wasabi Sushi for dinner that night, YUM!  We had such a fun weekend in Cleveland with Adam's family.  We were all childless, so that meant afternoon drinks, naps, sleeping in, late/crazy nights on the town...in other words, freedom!  Of course we were so excited to get home Sunday and see Coop!  Thanks to my fam for taking over last weekend, I know he was in great hands.

Cleveland Browns Stadium, tried to tour but no availability.
The wedding was outdoors, right on the water...beautiful!!!
A picture is worth a thousand words...

10 months

Seriously, someone tell me where the last 10 months have gone!  I feel like in an instant my 8 lb, helpless baby boy turned into a 20 lb, crawling, babbling big baby boy!  Sometimes I really miss those baby days. But then again he is getting so much fun to interact with and his personality is really starting to shine, making me love this stage as much just in a different way.

Here's what The Coopster has been up to in the last month:

- weighing in at 19 lbs, 13 oz (50%ile) and 31 inches (95%ile)
- officially pulled up on the bathtub first, then quickly everything in sight!
-  fourth tooth appeared and throughout the month all four teeth really came in
- first double ear infection :(
- figured out how to pick up his toys and throw them, a favorite activity
- favorite things: flipping thru books and being read to, Elmo, having blocks stacked and knocking them over, playing with everything he shouldn't ")

Love the sequence of the first 3 pictures, feel like they totally show his different sides
those big, blue eyes and content smile when thumb is in his mouth
showing off those teeth, waving his arms, so excited!
His "How are they doing that?" stare

So Big!

The last time I posted a video was about 6 months ago with Tanya's flip video, it was so easy!  Uploading from my video camera...not so much, or maybe I am just not smart enough to figure it out!  Anyway...Adam got a new fancy phone and we think we have this video thing figured out.  Just click on the link below titled, How big is Cooper?

Let's clarify this isn't always on command and seems to do it a lot more for his dad than me.  The funny part is now when he watches the video, he plays right along laughing and raising his arms.

Busy Week

Adam was out of town for business for the week, so Coop, Lola, and I packed up and headed to Grandma and Grandpa Souders.  We had lots of fun all over town with family and friends.  Here's just a few pics from the week!

Saturday night was a couples shower for my cousin Brad and Ashley.  This was my date, pretty handsome, huh???
These adorable girls are the flowergirls, Ashley's nieces, that Coop will be accompanying down the aisle.  Yes, he is the ringbearer :)  How cute will these three be!!  As long as Coop behaves himself!  This is actually round one of ringbearer duties, he'll be up again at Aunt Maggie's wedding in December.  Practice makes perfect, right?
Pool time!  This time in Grandma and Grandpa's backyard!  His mini pool was a great raft for him.  We had fun for a short time anyway, I can promise you prep time and clean up afterwards takes longer than the actual pool time!
Aunt Alli picked up this tunnel and it was a hit!  Cooper crawled back and forth probably a hundred times over the week.  Not going to lie, the adults had fun with it too, but no pictures to prove it, (you're welcome Bryson).
How sweet are these two in their matching strollers?  Ali and I took the babies (afraid I won't be using that word much longer:( ) on a long walk and they both fell sound asleep.

Things we did but didn't get pics of: Deanna Rose Petting Zoo, lunch with Aunt Cami and cousin Cash, dinner with Aunt Maggie, cousin Olivia's birthday party, visiting Mama Kelly at work, trying on tuxes for wedding, and I am sure to be forgetting some things.  Told ya we were busy, but had so much fun!!!  We were excited to get home though and see Dad!

A day (or just a couple of hours) on the job

ZM-Media was all over STL this weekend!  For those of you that don't know, ZM-Media is Adam's business, feel free to check it out at zm-media.com.  Coop and I went to visit and take lunch to Adam in downtown.  The jumbotron was up in the middle of downtown STL to play the US/England World Cup game.  It was a HOT day, so Cooper and I didn't last long, but we had fun while we were there!

Due to the heat, we camped out for a while in the tiny equipment room in the trailer.  It is seriously tiny, but somehow all 3 of us squeezed in for a short while to eat lunch and Coop was hamming up the camera!!!  We had to exit quickly because the Coopster was attacking all the wires that are crucial in making the LED screen work.

Check out that screen!  Now, if only we could get cartoons on it I am sure Coop would be much more interested!

Celeb Look-A-Like

Coop's four front teeth are officially in and making a statement!  Uncle Bryson has currently nicknamed him Michael Strahan due to his two front teeth :).  For those of you that aren't football fans, I have included a picture of him.

Quite the resemblance, huh??? :)

Mickey Mouse? Not exactly...

This is as close to Disney World as Cooper is going to get for several years!  His cousin Will found this costume and he LOVES to get dressed up in it.  The picture doesn't quite do the fit justice, as it is about six inches too short.  Cooper just stared at Will in total awe, he had no idea what to think!  William loved posing for pictures in his costume. :)

First time in a 'big' pool

Aunt Tanya invited Coop and I to toddler time at a local pool this morning.  It was Cooper's first time in a 'real' pool and toddler time was perfect.  They had lots of sprinklers, a zero entry pool that was perfect for him to sit and play in, and baby swings in the water!  He truly is a laid back baby.  He wasn't super excited, but not fussy either.  Just chilled in the water, playing with the couple toys we had and watching all the other kids.  He did start to get brave, crawling in the water chasing after his shadow. :)  We LOVE summertime!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Emily insisted on this position for the picture, because she was a mermaid in the water :)

Baby swings in the water...what a fabulous idea!!!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a great Memorial Day weekend with the Jones' family.  We headed to Washington on Friday for a full 3 days.  Try these numbers: 1 house, 10 adults, 6 kids (3 under the age of 2), and 6 dogs.  It was crazy, but good, crazy fun!  It is so fun to see all the kids play and interact together.  It seemed Ava and Emily were off on their own playing away from the boys, so they aren't in but one picture.  Coop was a great sleeper all weekend, his cousins were really wearing him out!

Hanging with Dad in the pool, loving it!
Playing ball with Braeden, check out Brae's straight teeth!  Don't mind Papaw Jones napping on the couch in the background
trying to steal Kellen's snack before he gets away
nothing but love for cousin Cash
Well, this is as good as it got for a Grandkid picture, still pretty cute!

Hope everyone had a happy Memorial Day weekend!!!
