Let's hear it for your Kansas City Royals!!!!!!!!!

I started this post on September 30 but am just getting around to finishing and posting tonight.  A lot has happened in those almost 2 weeks!
People!!  The KC Royals are in the ALCS!  It's the first time we have been in the playoffs since 1985!  I was 4!  And not only are we in the ALCS but we are rockin' baseball right now!  They are so fun to watch and have captured America's heart (pretty sure I stole that from an article I read today ;)).  But really, who's not pulling for this team??!!  It is so darn exciting and I do not consider myself a baseball fan.  I will always root for the Royals no matter what the standings say but I don't watch them on TV or read up on them.
It all started with the wild card game.  I hyped it up with Cooper and let him stay up late to watch most of it.  We had so much fun watching that game together!
He dressed in all blue pjs for the Royals.  He was totally into it, jumping up and down with exciting plays.
I was laying in bed with Laney while he watched the game.  When I was walking her down the hall he said, "don't worry Mom, I will come tell you if anything big happens."  A couple minutes later he walks in and with his hand over his heart he says, "I have really bad news, the game is tied."  He comes in a few minutes later and says, "How is this possible that the bad team now has 5?!?!"
We were totally on edge!  It was so fun to teach him about the game - he loves sports and wants to know all about each player and how the game works.  He has watched every game since and has stayed up entirely too late too many nights!!!
This is what happens when your Dad travels for work and Mom has all the baseball influence for the week…ha, ha, ha!
We are cheering on the Royals with everything we got!

For the record, Adam (STL Cardinals fan) is taking this quite well.  He is cheering for the Royals too…hello I-70 series!  We don't have him in a Royals shirt yet though ;).  He sticks Cooper's Cardinal hat on him any chance he gets.  And if that I-70 series does happen, the kids and I will probably be living at my parents' house for week.  Kidding.  Not really.  And Cooper will be torn and very confused and probably get whatever he wants because the bribery will be in full swing between Adam and I getting him to root for the Royals vs the Cardinals!!!!!!!

Picture Day and Donuts with Dad

Picture day at Preschool!  I haven't gotten their proofs back from school yet, but pretty happy with what I captured at home...

I bribed him to fix his hair by letting him stay up late to watch the Royals the night before.
 Holy sweetness!

Donuts with Dad!  Each class invited the Dads to come in for donuts and visit.  On Laney's day Adam was out of town so Grandpa stood in his place.  She was pretty excited to have Grandpa go to school with her.
He even brought her a flower!
Adam was back in town for about 24 hours and made it to Coop's class.
Since he didn't get to go to Laney's class, they snuck her in Coop's class for a bit.

Climbing stairs, holding a bottle, eating spaghetti…stop it already!

Too many milestones!  I love that she is growing and developing as she should but why does the time go by so darn fast??
 Always a funny sleeping position.
I rescued her from this one.
We usually have a gate up that covers the stairs going down to the basement and going up.  Lately we were just using it to cover going down stairs.  Well, not anymore!

She loved her spaghetti!  I should have gotten an after picture.
This happened today! I have just recently started giving her a bottle during her mid-morning feeding.  She is pretty clueless how a bottle works!  We were in line to pick up kids and I was turned around feeding her and let her try it out halfway thru the bottle.  She rocked it!

Dancing with the Stars

Sometimes when Adam is out of town, the kids and I watch some of Dancing with the Stars.  Coop and I used to watch it every Monday but with the addition of 2 little girls, there just isn't as much downtime as there used to be :).

These 2 thought this song was hilarious and couldn't stop dancing together.  Laney's moves at the end…awesome.

They crack me up!

Beautiful Fall Days!

We have had some really great weather days here and we are trying to get outside for all of them.  I just know that in a blink of an eye it's going to be too cold to go outside and do fun things :(.  Besides walks to the park, Deanna Rose and the arboretum have become our favorite spots.

She was so excited to see the animals this visit to Deanna Rose!
A couple of times we went after naps and made it for the last hour that the park was open.  It's a great time to go - not many people at all!

 How most pictures turn out.
We are also eating dinner out on the deck when we can!
Tuesdays at the arboretum are free and since it's 5 minutes from our house, it's the perfect place to visit!  I make lunches, pick the kids up from school and head there.
These girls are going to give those big kids a run for their money pretty soon.
Another Deanna Rose visit.  This time after our hair appts.
 Just love this place!!!!

She thought the goats were hilarious!
Her first time in a swing and she loved it.  She was squealing and couldn't stop smiling.
 So sweet!

I picked up the kids from school today and we went to the arboretum again!
 Love her feet!

Laney needed a break from walking, she was hot in her skinny jeans ;).  Coop took over my camera.

Laney's 1st haircut

Yep, she's a little over 3 and just getting her first haircut.  I was pretty attached to that baby hair turned mullet of hers.  The ends were just getting too stringy so I caved and we went and got a trim.  Literally a trim, if you didn't know her hair you wouldn't know she got it cut :).
 Out of control!
 The before
During.  She didn't say a word, just smiled and kept her hands in her mouth.  She didn't stop smiling!
With her hairdresser :).   Ashley does the whole family's hair.
Not a great after picture but it's all I got!

A FUN weekend to wrap up September

The last weekend of September was a fun one with beautiful weather!

Gunner had a sleepover with us since his parents were on vacation.  I am sure my brother will love this…Gunner fixing Laney's hair.  And yes, she's topless - who knows why.
Pippi didn't have a good weekend. She ran a fever and just wasn't her happy self. :(
Friday night dance party on the deck!
After baths, watching cartoons before bed.
Happy Saturday morning!  The look of a baby that doesn't feel great.
The boys came in our room at 7:00 to tell us the sun was up :).  They played Legos until about 7:45 when they came back in asking for breakfast.
First birthday party of the day was for Anna!  Back here I talked about us going roller skating to practice.  Again, so glad we did!  The kids were definitely comfortable putting on their skates and getting out on the rink.

The rainbow fairy birthday girl, Anna!
Thankful for Adam, he strapped on those roller blades and hit the rink like he skates everyday.

We went home for naps and then headed to birthday party #2 of the day.  This time it was for the Gibson girls, Gia was 3 and Emery 1!
 Princess Elsa was there!
 She was so happy!

Somehow Laney had the birthday girl pulling her around the yard in the wagon…pretty sure it should have been the other way around!
