7 Months

I would once again like to thank Time Warner and their awful internet for the long pause on blog posts.  There are a few other reasons but mainly because I always blog late at night and need to blog in my bedroom or else I will find something to eat in the kitchen ;).

Piper is 7 months!  Holy cow people!  I swear she is changing every single day!  She is so much fun, so much fun!
-She is going to bed around 9-10ish and getting up for the day around 6:30-7:30.  Most days she takes a morning and afternoon nap with a snooze sometimes early evening.
-I am still nursing her full time - but she is taking formula.  I gave her a full formula bottle for the first time on July 4th and she took it like a champ.  Nursing her 5 times a day and food for dinner.  She is not loving the food.
-Pippi is so darn happy!  As long as she is well fed and well rested, she is easygoing.
-She loves being on the floor and just rolling/scooting around.  She is all over the place now!
-She is almost sitting up on her own.  She can do it now but only for a few seconds before she topples over.
-I love how interactive she is with her toys now.  She holds them, studies them, shakes them.
- 2 teeth, front two on the bottom.
-Lots of babbling but no understandable words quite yet.

 Happy Happy Girl!
I had Dad and Cooper's help with these smiles.

He really wanted in on a picture :).  Sweetness, their sassy sister was off doing her own thing.

July so far…according to my phone

Random pictures on my phone from this month…
It's not just Cooper that likes to watch the guys working in our neighborhood.  Laney sat here all by herself for 20 minutes just watching and holding her ears, apparently she thought it was too loud.
Walking into Cooper's evening tee ball game.  It was cold!  What?  Laney refused to wear pants so we compromised on rain boots.
Pippi and I went to a wedding dress fitting and dinner with my friend Julie.  I left Adam and the 2 kids on their own for dinner.  They ended up at Jalapenos, shocker.
How did I forget this in my 4th of July post?!  My mom, sister, Laney and I went down to the West Bottoms for some vintage shop shopping.  I decided this wasn't my idea of fun but I am glad we went and Allison found a kitchen table!
 Girls Night, Julie's Bachelorette Party!
The Nitschke and Gibson girls came over to play last week.  It was a beautiful morning so the kids played while the moms talked :).  Cooper refused to get in the picture.
This was all underneath our couch!  No joke!  Yes, that is a roll of toilet paper.  I am just thankful there were no cups with old milk!  Note to self…do this more often.
Cooper is working on this reading log in the form of a BINGO card.  When he gets BINGO we let him play on the iPad for 15 minutes, big deal!  One of the squares was to read while eating a snocone.
Cooper looks like a GIANT in this picture!  And apparently he needs longer shorts.
We found a shady spot and I read to the kids while they enjoyed their snocones.
Laney got watermelon and Cooper got Jayhawk.  Laney didn't love her flavor but she sure did love her brothers!  He is so sweet and happily shared with her.

Sweet Piper always along for the ride!
This is how she came down from nap one day.
 New bows arrived!
Lately she is going to bed earlier, 9ish and getting up earlier 6ish.  If she doesn't go back to sleep in the morning, it's just us for a good hour before the rest of the house stirs.
Tonight I needed to go to Target and Adam was gone.  I bribed popsicles for good behavior.  It worked!

July is going by way too fast!

Sitting Up Progress

Pippi definitely isn't setting up on her own yet, but we are working on it.  She lasts for a few seconds before toppling over one way or another.  I can't believe she is almost sitting up on her own!

4th of July 2014

We had such a fun 4th!  I was exhausted and ready to go to bed by 7…no joke.  But I stayed strong and we didn't get home until almost 11.  The next day I napped at 11:30 and I never nap!
We did a couple of 4th of July crafts.  Finished product is at the end of the post.
Laney spent the morning coloring, her favorite thing to do.
 My big and little.
Adam and Cooper were playing ball in the house.  Laney drags her chair in from outside, makes herself a pretend cup of coffee and spectated :).  Seriously, it was hilarious.
The legs crossed and the coffee!  Adam and I don't even drink coffee.  Those are Cooper's Jayhawk flip flops and she wears them all day long.
 Practicing grounders.
 Firework painting, thanks again Pinterest.
I forgot to get an after pic, just search Pinterest and you will see lots :).
The 4 granddaughters!  We took this exact picture about 6 months ago, but I can't find it on the blog!  The girls go, Landree (June), Henley (September), Juliana (December) and Pippi (December).
Happy 1st Fourth of July Piper!
We had lunch and swam at Grandma and Grandpa's house with the whole family.

The King and Queen.
Later we cleaned up and headed to Bryson and Tara's house for the parade.
I had such a fun day with our fam!
Anxiously waiting for the parade to start.

Ha! Look at Gunner's face, who knows what orders Laney was giving him.  I was trying to get a pic of the 4 kids…clearly that didn't happen.
After the parade we went to Bryson and Tara's for dinner and to play…

 The kids had slushies.
Adam set off kid friendly fireworks and they all loved it!

These 2 with sparklers made me very nervous, can't imagine why?? ;)
Our finished products, love them!

Hope you all had a fantastic Fourth of July with your friends/family!
