Another Airplane...

So, our MacBook crashed this past week, that's why the blog is waaay behind!  Luckily, my technologically sound husband had an external hard drive that had everything backed up on it!  We spent part of our Friday evening at the Apple store last night (is that place ever not crazy busy??) getting it fixed, they really have the best customer service!!!  Anyways, we are back up and running...time for me to catch up on the last week!

Coop and I flew out of DFW on a sunny morning with good weather in KC too, so thinking it should be an on-time, uneventful flight...wrong!  We boarded with no problems at 8:45 and hit the runway right on time at 9:15, then got the pilot's voice with the dreaded phrase, "engine problems."  Keep in mind that Coop still flies for free (under 2), so that means we share a seat.  And, if you have seen me recently, you are well aware that I have little lap room left as this baby continues to grow.  Well, 3 hours later that 'engine problem' is fixed.  In the meantime, Cooper has climbed from the floor to standing on my lap 3,245 times, read our 3 books 1,222 times and sweet talked the lady next to him to let him play with her iphone.  Overall, he was really good and it could have been way worse!  He fell asleep as we took off and we landed at 1:00 just over hours after we had boarded that bird.

Happy to report that our return flight home was fabulous!  Flight was on time and the seat next to us was open...woo-hoo!!!!!!  It happened to be Coop's naptime, he fell asleep as soon as we took off and didn't wake up until after we landed, very peaceful!

Dad was flying in to DFW the same hour we were just a little delayed, these stickers from Grandma and Grandpa kept him busy while we waited, loves his trucks!

A rough 24 hours...

We are in Kansas visiting family and for other fun reasons I will post about later.  I am here without a computer which explains the lack of blog posts!  Will be returning to Texas this week, so I will catch you all up soon!  For now, I have my sister's computer and pics...

Last night at one of our many parties, Coop basically tripped over his own 2 feet, (ball in hand, of course) and busted his lip.  I watched it happen, but still not sure on specifics of how the busting happened???  All I know was it was very traumatic for the Coopster!  There was lots of blood and tears and nothing was soothing him until we busted out the popsicles.  2 popsicles, his blankets and an episode of Mickey Mouse he was feeling better and ready to play again!

 Here is the damage :).  He decided to play in his baby pool fully clothed.  Pretty sure we will be visiting a dentist soon, as I noticed his gums on the top two teeth look a little black.  As to whether or not, he messed up his teeth...too hard to tell because they weren't exactly perfect to begin with! Hoping for the best!

Next day we were playing ball outside, he stepped on it and fell backwards hitting his head on the concrete.  Just a goose egg here, of course lots of tears too!  This afternoon we went to the farm to watch Uncle Greg feed the cows. Cooper was chasing Greg when Uncle Bryson pulled down the drive in his big truck, Coop got scared and ran for me.  In the process, he fell and looked like he was sliding into home base across the gravel.  He didn't even notice the blood until about 30 minutes later on our drive home, which of course turned into tears.  It is perfectly fine but everytime he sees it, he has to point it out, "my boo-boo."

I am sure this is just the beginning of falls, cuts and bruises...

Friday Night at Southlake Town Square

I hate to admit it, but we have become regulars at Milwaukee Joe's, an ice cream shop at Southlake Town Square.  You see, Adam's favorite line is..."I don't eat dessert."  In fact, it has become a running joke because I am pretty sure he would eat cookies and cream ice cream every night and is the culprit behind our many trips to Milwaukee Joe's.  Of course, Coop and I don't fight it, occasionally I try, but I have zero will power!  Not to mention that with this pregnancy I think I could eat dessert for breakfast, lunch and dinner!  We always get the same thing, me-reeses and fudge, adam-cookies and cream, cooper-half of mine and half of adams :).  I don't have any pics of our recent trips...will work on that because Coop's face is pretty priceless taking down that ice cream!  

Besides Milwaukee Joe's, Southlake has a great open area with a big water fountain and grassy area.  Coop loves to throw pennies in the fountain and just watch all the 'big' kids.  

When he spotted this basketball shirt in his dresser, nothing else was going on his body that day!

It was so sweet, all the little kids had their shoes off  having the best time just splashing their feet!

Just some random pics from my phone, for some reason I haven't been taking many pictures on my camera lately.  Definitely need to as my the quality of pics from my phone is awful!

Told you...horrible action shots!  Coop is really loving this horse, who he calls Bullseye (Toy Story, of course) and he must be wearing his cowboy hat!

There is a pond with ducks close to our house.  We had some bread to get rid of, so we went to feed the ducks.  Man, when they saw what we had, they were all over us!  Cooper loves going to feed the ducks and just watching them swim.  This night my form of bribery to leave was sno-cones :), no pictures of that sticky mess!  Cooper loves his no-nones (as he calls them), reminds me of summers at Cool Cats!

Yep, still loving guacamole ('moleee) and eating by the spoonful!  Whenever we ask him what he wants for dinner it is always-pizza or rice, 'mole, chips, salsa...never fails!

This is from last month, but I am short on posts these days thought I would share.  It had been raining most of the day and when the clouds broke we headed outside!  Coopie found this puddle and played it in for probably 20 minutes!  Then Dad came home and he had to show him too!  

Cooper counting to 10!

So, I have been working randomly with Coop on counting, but until recently he had just gotten "one, two."  Then he would repeat 'one, two' over and over and over again!  A few weeks ago, Adam was in the office and just started counting, much to our surprise Cooper counted all the way to 10!!  We were shocked, he had never gone past 2!!  Of course he wouldn't repeat it and we really didn't bring it up again.  The next week in KC I was changing his diaper and started counting and again he finished all the way to 10!  But, wouldn't do it again.  Then the following week, Adam and I started counting again and he joined in.  Since then, he is pretty proud of himself and we catch him counting to 10 at random times.  Click on the link below to watch the video.
