Family QT

We got to spend lots of family QT over the week of Christmas and I just had to post these cute pics!
Well, hello sweet babes!

The things we do to appease the one grandkid that is old enough to play and be busy.  I believe we were trying to watch a game...Coop wanted a tent, so everyone grabbed a corner!  Then, he persuaded everybody in one by one!  Of course not Adam and I because we are boring mom and dad when he is visiting family.
The remote and headphones, I can't remember what he was watching, but he just looks so darn cute and innocent...ha!

Best Friend Luncheon

Every year at Christmas for so many years I can't even remember when we started, my two best girlfriends with our moms go to lunch at Houston's on the Plaza.  I look forward to it every year, it's one of my favorite places but we rarely make it there.  But, our families are growing and as good as Houston's french fries sounded, I would rather see and get to hold their amazing girls! And, I am pretty sure lunch wouldn't have been so enjoyable with a couple of 2 year olds and 3 baby girls.  So, we had a potluck lunch and it was delish...our moms are pretty fabulous cooks :).
Laney and her bffs-Gianna and Lakeyn.  Don't they look thrilled?
We added the big brother and big sister.  Yep, Cooper is the only boy of the group...he's totally outnumbered and doesn't seem to mind one bit!
Coop and Emersyn-these 2 had lots of fun playing together.  Don't they just look like trouble? :)

Christmas Cookie Decorating

Cooper and Laney invited their cousins and friends over during Christmas week to decorate cookies.  Laney and her friends Lakeyn and Ashley mostly slept :) but the older kids were decorating and downing sugar like they may never see it again!  We had so much fun, thanks to everyone for coming over.
Here's the gang!  As you will notice, I must have got my camera out right after I handed out the juice boxes...kids are busy washing down all that icing!
Ava and Cooper
Kendyl and Emersyn
Anna and Cash-aka the sprinkle king ;)
I didn't get any pics of the finished products as I am pretty sure the kids were eating them as soon as they decorated them!  What kid doesn't love sprinkles?
Another Pinterest craft :)  I was worried the kids wouldn't recognize Rudolph but they pulled thru!
Ava was pretty happy to read her Christmas books to the kids

Cookies weren't just enough...
Cash invited Coop over to decorate a gingerbread house.  I wasn't there but Adam said Cooper definitely ate more candy than he put on the house...man, this kid l-o-v-e-s sugar/candy.
The boys finished product-my favorite is the marshmallows piled up by the front door :).

Crown Center

So, before pregnancies and babies my family would head to Crown Center to do some ice skating, always entertaining to watch...especially my coordinated self :).  This is the 2nd year that we have gotten boring changed things up.  We still go to Crown Center, but now to see Santa Claus and eat dinner at Fritz' train station.  The whole fam went and it was so fun, I love the winter scene of Crown Center...the ice rink, all the lighted trees, Santa Claus, Gingerbread Village, and the hustle and bustle of it all!
With Aunt Alli waiting to see Santa...apparently Grandma was intrigued by the tree hanging overhead :)
Hello sweet cheeks and your big pink bow!
Laney and Gunner don't look so impressed, Coop on the other hand was pretty excited to see the big guy.
Not sure why, but I love this picture.  While waiting in line for dinner, a few adults took the kids to the toy store.
Aunt Tara brought her niece Sophi along.  Coop was pretty excited, he loves the older ladies!  ps-Cooper was in need of a haircut baaaadddd-he did get one before Christmas and doesn't look homeless anymore.
Grandma and Grandpa with their 3 grandkids
Bryson and Tara with their sweet Gunner!
Imagine who wasn't wanting to cooperate here...  Laney looks like a 9 month old!!!

Basketball with Cousins

We were lucky enough to be in town to see Braeden play some basketball!  He was fun to watch and did awesome...can't wait to watch in years to come.  Coop watched the game for about 15 seconds, he and Cash were busy chatting, running up and down the court, eating every sweet they could find!

Here the two trouble makers are with suckers.
The superstar :)
Ava-Grace loved on Laney and entertained the little boys too!
Good game Brae!

4 Months!

Laney Faith turned 4 months on Christmas Eve, I just can't believe it!  She seems so big already and she's just 4 months!!!  I guess I can no longer say I have a newborn? :(
Here is the latest and greatest on our sweet baby girl...
-14 lbs 6 oz - 60%ile  and 25 3/4 inches 90%ile and was 85%ile for head size.  A big, healthy girl!
-She is in her Bumbo and Exersaucer for short periods of time, getting stronger with her head and neck muscles everyday.
-She is still nursing, cut down to 5 times a day.  I pump at her 6th 'feeding' to build up some supply for freedom ;).
-Sleeping like a dream!  She goes to sleep around 10ish and isn't up until between 8:30-9:30...perfection!  I am still swaddling her at night with plans to wean her off that this month.  She isn't really on a nap schedule, usually sleeps about an hour in the morning, couple hours in the afternoon and then dozes off sometime in the evening before bed.
-Smiling like crazy and giggling.  Our favorite is the morning smiles, she is just so darn happy the minute she sees our faces and the feeling is mutual.
-Wearing size 2 diapers an 3-6 month clothes.  Any one pieces are 6 month for her long length!
-She is much more cooperative at tummy time and is now turning head to both sides.  Always rolling on to her side, but not all the way over yet.

 love those tummy rolls!
Anytime her feet are loose, she is all about them!

ugh, I rotated this picture in iPhoto...what happened???  Anways...Santa brought this rug for Laney and it is the perfect addition to her nursery.  I think it makes a great photo background too!

Happy New Year!

We are officially home from our midwest tour.  The drive home was 10 1/2 hours and consisted of 3 stops, pumping in the front seat down highway 44, 1 up the back dirty diaper, 1 big poop from our 2 year old while I was in the middle of changing the diaper (yuck!), 1 screaming baby for over an hour, back to back viewings of Toy Story, 2 gross gas station bathrooms, a shih tzu up in our business full time and a partridge in a pear tree.  With all that, we are happy to be home safely!

We couldn't have had more fun over the last 2 weeks and as soon as we get unpacked and back in a routine I will fill you in on all the fun!

All of this stuff plus more was in our car!  Seriously, don't know how Adam got it all packed and there was not room for one more thing!  We can't wait to finally get to open and play with all of Coop and Laney's Christmas gifts!!!!!!!!
